Doesn't look like they've made it any less of a mess than the playtest. Also no sign of Take Ten.

I decided to do a clueless walk-through of the Fighter.
Fighters aren't my thing but it's a straightforward starting point.
I say Strength and key on damage (ho hum).
I start reading.

I don't see total damage climbing much past 25hp per round (right away).
Lots of small status effects.  Lots of defenses boosting.
Anybody who's played a 1e UA Fighter through 5e Fighter
will probably see a Fighter and think :  Fighter.

Revealng Stab [Two-Actions] Feat 6 ... caught my eye.
Easy rider on an attack, ~"Mass See Invisibility" and even Action Denial.
I like it.

... Also no sign of Take Ten.

Nockermensch posts the playtest chart, and Axebird follows with the new official one.
https://www.tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=57124&start=250
... feat for the special ability = anybody can be a 3e high level Rogue whenever.

Course I have no idea yet, but it looks like the same type of #s targets they used
in PF1's CMD.  And/or that weird 4e problem of a climb wall dc 15 this level
but somehow more difficult next level.  I doubt they intended that.
But honestly I have no real idea yet.

decent explaining from the get-go

paizo already had a 300+ post thread locked over the rarity rules.
Seems like a "damage on a miss" fluff conceptual problem, really.

I am doing my best to obtain system mastery on the free SRD materials, perhaps for selfish monetary related purposes.  What's the general opinion on PF2 anyway?
Mudada.

Opinions?
Opinions ?!

Snowsavant described the Skills system kinda like a funnel above level 10.
There's some minor grumpyness on paizo forums about :
"Level 20 + Skill N" is somehow <<<< than "Level 1 + Skill N + Class Ability".
idk squat, but it seems like a type of role-protection.

1 maybe t.o.-ish build has popped up.  Let's call it :  Idiot MacGyver
JaseX gets the kudo, and graystone + Paradozen extend it.
https://paizo.com/threads/rzs42omn?Bards-Eclectic-Skill-Untrained-Improvisation

Hopefully they don't nerf the snot out of it, because it looks like enough of a "build Tax"
that no one has actually tried to make a real solid build of the rest of it.  Or play it.

Costs 2 feats and being human. I'd call that a pretty low barrier for "better at every skill than most specialists" especially when 5e Skills get more screentime than 3.5 skills. The Jack of All Trades bard is a 5e staple build after all.

EDIT: This line from Mark Seifter is really concerning...

When you put it that way ...  :)

"+ Level" isn't on that list.
"trained only skill check" I don't know zip about to comment.

I vaguely recall a build circa pre-2004 that had a Negative AC to trigger all sorts of stuff.
Otto the Bugbear, was maybe the author, idk too hazy at this point ; clearly didn't catch on.

I do think the intentional Negative build part, is not something that non-informed would do.
Plus the part of a Level 1 + Skill N + Class ability, being better than Level 20 + Anti-Skill N
kinda keeps this at bay.
