Ghost template
This section contains supplemental abilities and options for the ghost template to work better with the departed spirits of martial adepts.

Special Attacks: The following special attacks are available to ghosts, in addition to their normal options. For characters with the ghost template class, each ability is noted as being either a lesser or greater ghost power.

  • Ghostly Warrior (Su): While manifested, the ghost retains its Strength score (despite being incorporeal) and can confer the ghost touch special ability to any incorporeal weapons or armor it wields for as long as the ghost holds it. The ghost touch property also applies to the ghost's unarmed strikes and natural attacks. The ghost's attacks that require physical contact can function against material creatures. In addition to being able to strike corporeal foes normally, the ghost can also physically manipulate corporeal objects. This is a lesser ghost power.

  • Undying Soldier (Su): The ghost learns a number of martial maneuvers from the Devoted Spirit, Shadow Hand, and Undying Call disciplines. The ghost's initiator level for these maneuvers is equal to its hit dice. It learns a number of maneuvers equal to half its initiator level, rounded up, each of which can be used once per encounter with no recharge. The ghost also learns one stance plus one more for every 8 hit dice beyond the first. A ghost that died in a particularly horrific way may have access to one or more disciplines that are thematically related to its method of death in place of a like number of the standard disciplines. For example, a ghost that froze to death abandoned and alone might have access to Frozen Night instead of Devoted Spirit, while one burned at the stake might use Desert Wind maneuvers instead of Shadow Hand.

A manifested ghost without any other weapons can still initiate strikes and attack with its incorporeal touch attack, even if it doesn't have the Corrupting Touch or Draining Touch abilities. Without Corrupting Touch, the incorporeal touch does not deal any damage in and of itself, but bonus damage from the strike and any special effects and abilities still apply (treat the weapon damage type as untyped, although as a touch attack it is not affected by damage reduction). A manifested ghost adds its Dexterity modifier to attack rolls only. This is a greater ghost power.
