DON'T PLAY THIS!

Change GFB for Booming blade or get that feat to alleviate the fact that you'll be depositing all your basic damage on a single damage type (besides bludgeoning).

That's a pretty cool combo there! You've made a good melee combatant, that is a full caster, and you're completely unreliant on STR or DEX.

Me likey!

I like it.  But yeah Elemental Adept would be pretty nice.  There's really too many feats to choose from here, good thing the only stat you need is WIS.

What are your other stats?

Booming Blade might be a good swap, thanks, I'll look into it more.

1-2 Monk levels might be a good dip.  Unarmored defense/movement is good, and since your using a simple weapon, you can take advantage of martial arts.

Fighter 3 (Eldritch Knight) is another interesting dip.  Its basically like a fighter 2 dip, except with 2 extra Wiz cantrips, and three spells.  If your really pushing the melee aspect of this build, those spells can really help your defense.  Shield, Mage armor, Absorb Elements. And you get one spell from any list.  Would be nice to have a familiar.  It can Help to give you advantage and deliver touch spells.  Spare the Dying is a lot more useful when you can deliver it from 100 ft. away.

Wiz 2 is also good.  Gets you the spells, but not Action surge or fighting style, so the school benefit would have to be really good, like Divination.  You also need INT 13.  Probably not worth it.

In any case, I probably wouldn't multiclass until Lv. 8-9, when you can pump WIS to 20.

I only ask because you mentioned it. Most builds I've seen posted don't mention the background unless it has something to do with the build.

It allows you to not get lost and feed yourself and others easily.
Whilst in the wilderness. Just greater independence really. You can choose what you like.
