Well done team! I don't need pride so long as we have efficacy! (see what I did there?)

I bet you were all taken totally off guard by the reveal that he was actually a dragon right?

Yeah... totally.  :p

Hmm... did we recognize any of the soldiers in the vision, or their equipment? I think I know what the deal is, but am not sure my character would/does.

A few gears are clicking into place, confirming a few details I had figured earlier. I am still looking for the loophole that means we still die at that firing range, however. All it takes is one botched die roll. :P

Know: Local roll for the uniforms but the rifles seem to be of standard make, pretty much identical to every other rifle you have ever seen

Here's where Greed wants to exploit that uncertainty and get some activated otiluke's resilient sphere items or something.

There are two crates, the one with the defective guns lacks the maker's seal on top but otherwise they are identical.

Edited my post. You only mentioned there being one crate with us, so I felt I had to ask. With this new information, I've changed what Kana would have said.

So what's the plan guys? We need to come up with one. I think I've made mine clear.  :D

Well, I brought up the fact that Talrick said he was going to inspect any guns we brought him. If we give him defective guns, he may set us up to be shot because of that. Alternatively, we could plant the idea in his head that the best way to see if the guns are truly effective is to test them, leading him to try to test them on us, leading his men to get blown up potentially

Alternatively, I can try to plant explosives on the wall behind us, and maybe sleight-of-hand the transmitter to blow the wall so I could detonate them at just the right moment. That would give us the blam, and a way to escape. Though, with only disoriented attackers, and not no-attackers.

Future-telling makes for exhausting strategic reasoning. Good thing I'm not in a campaign dealing with time travel or anything. No sirree, no plot holes or time paradoxes or anything confusing like that!  :P

Littha also said that we couldn't tell the bad guns from the good ones, even with close inspection. I doubt Talrick could either. Otherwise, he wouldn't have sent us here, or have been as upset about the faulty guns. That's my guess, anyway.

Won't get to make an official post until after work.

Until then, can I make sleight of hand or hide checks to hide some of my gadgets (ie: a couple bombs and at least one shatter bug) on my person during the walk back to town? Technically the checks won't matter unless someone tries to search me, but if I make high enough rolls, I'm hoping nothing will be suspicious enough to search. I mean, I assume they'll confiscate my haversack and other sacks like the first time, since they likely know that's where I keep my bombs/weapons.

Since we're planning things, what are the group's thoughts on Kergis hiding one of his pistols on himself.?  Or any pistol really.

I think it is a great idea. Maybe Dirk should try to stash a holy symbol somewhere, too...

Hmm... is there some way we could put several items inside something, and then hide that and retrieve it later? Maybe Dirk could have an Unseen Servant precast and following us around, and have it carry/drag around an invisible sack full of our gear just before we enter the city gates...

Wow, that was a really crappy roll.

I don't suppose that I could say that I just took ten instead?

Lastly, just so that this isn't hidden away in a spoiler and forgotten, Kergis stashed his second Bandoleer somewhere (like wherever he lives) and is currently running around with one hidden gun and one holstered gun.  He's also at half ammo capacity which I'll note in my sheet.

I would suggest hiding something on my person, but what the hell have I got to hide? No way I'm hiding the maul, and the rest is clothing or not for combat. I suppose I'll do fine. I suppose they'd take my gauntlets too, but..... meh....

He WILL make sure he's morphed a set of teeth, and claws on his hands, though. Yay morphic weapons!

Yeah, Dirk is an unarmed swordsage, so he can do decently well without weapons as well. Yay for unarmed swordsage! :D

I still think we should go with the Unseen Servant + Invisible sack trick to sneak in any other gear we want. We could put one of Kergis' guns in there...

And let's say we spent a day chilling out in the woods, so we can burn some healing spells to cure up. Dirk doesn't have any wands for that kind of thing...

Edit: Done updating my prepared spells and maneuvers. I prepped Unseen Servant. So does anyone have a Haversack we can turn invisible, and put our stuff in for the Servant to carry for us?

Oh god... I guess my plan backfired. What was plan B again? Oh yeah, death by firing squad! YAY! OK, now we're REALLY dead. Maybe we can blame it on the "elf"...  :p

OK, so really... now what?
