OOC Discussion
« on: September 24, 2019, 05:07:55 PM »
Out of character discussion goes here!

Tips for reading my formatting (will update if further clarifications are needed):

  • Only read the highest DC you hit. Ignore the lower ones, as they may contain misinformation.
  • Italics are narration
  • Unformatted text is usually a general description

Note: Characters with Deceptively Innocent Form are still considered monsters and were in containment before the game started. Read your spoiler blocks accordingly.

I'm operating by the assumption that Razor would have maintained their normal form prior to the breach, though might assume DIF as a defense mechanism. Though, I take your meaning.

Oh yes, I expect I was fully in containment. I'm not dissenting that.

I'm just going with the other option that she didn't see a reason to hide it. :lmao

So, it seems that unless anyone has truly awful perception, everyone saw the creepy sword-limbed creature turn into a mostly-human. So that's fun.  :lmao

'Tis indeed beneath my passive perception, that.

Roll Dice Check 1d20-10 : 7 - 10, total -3
So, I'm still getting the hang of using the boards.  :)

FYI: My lack of a second post is intentional. I'll jump back in once everyone has had a chance to dig themselves out, interact, etc. I will generally not narrate the goings on unless an outside force interferes or someone's actions change the situation in a way that isn't made clear by their own narration. If I notice it stalls though, I'll refresh the scene description and throw down new passive checks.

Also: Any character who was posing as a Scion has a Very Special Amulet

Sorry, I'm not trying to be all sneaky.  Feel free to read the stuff behind the spoiler.  It's just fun story elements.  Slake has had a plan for a while, and he loves it when a good plan comes together.

My apologies if my description of the environment wasn't clear, but there are no rooms or furniture to speak of. I'll amend the starting post with a stock photo for better visualization. To prevent any need for a retcon, we can say your plan involved reinforcing the desk in that room and keeping your stuff exceedingly safe for exactly this situation.

Clarification: The "dust covered humanoids" in the description are the characters, not any additional NPCs.

I was referring to the PCs. Anyone not in uniform is assumed to be a Subject given our location.

I take it that it would be a bad thing to move unsafely and start collapsing things?

My bad.  If I take too many liberties with the story feel free to reign me in.  Slake will notice the shaky foundation and slow down to 5ft/round.

No worries. I normally don't do PBP games myself, so my ability to describe an area is limited to either descriptions that a reader passively takes in (for my creative writing) or simple ones that have a quick turnaround for clarifications (my live games). I'll start using images when I have one available.
