The ninja approaches the rotted wooden building, on the lookout for hidden dangers.

What the ninja found:

He sidles up to the building, opens the door a bit and scans the interior.

What the ninja saw:

The ninja opens the door without a sound.

Crouching, he sets foot through the door. The party hears a loud CRACK -- the ninja appears to jump straight up in the air -- and then he falls to the ground and is completely unmoving. He does not appear to be breathing.

Battleaxe and Overbite approach the fallen ninja cautiously with weapons drawn. They reach him unmolested, whereupon Overbite grabs the ninja one-handed and drags him back while Battleaxe covers him and watches for trouble.

They pull the ninja back 20 feet from the rotted building.

Charles moves forward to the side of the door, and halts outside, spear at the ready, cocking his head to listen carefully to any noises emerging from inside.

After a long and careful listen, he clearly hears the chirping noise the two half-orcs heard, and motions to the rest of the party to carefully advance, his eyes giving off a faint flash of light again, like with the psicrystal earlier.

(Watt) Another loud CRACK sounds from the door, sending a jolt of electricity through Charles. ((13 nonlethal))

Current emerges from a hole in the wall of the rotted building -- the small blue lizard focuses its gaze on Charles, standing at the door of the building. After a moment of build-up, a blue bolt of electricity arcs from Current to strike Charles. ((12 nonlethal should knock you out))

Watt and Current chirp loudly -- the sounds "like birds," that the mercenary mentioned.

Zap darts out from doorway and climbs over the fallen Charles. It moves toward Azereus and Grim, charging up as it goes. The lizard covers an incredible distance (up to 40 feet) on its tiny legs.

Shock follows zap through the doorway and contributes its charge to generate a massive electrical field -- electricity arcs every-which-way, striking Charles, Azereus, Grim, the two mercenaries, and even the fallen Ninja.

((25 damage electricity damage))
((Azereus, I think is dead at -18 hp))
((Charles is at -8 with 25 nonlethal?))
((Grim takes half ... total -2 hp, I think?))
((The Ninja is dead at -19, unless he saves. Then he's -6 with nonlethal damage))
((The mercs are both at -6 after saving.))

After the smoke clears (literally), and the lizards saunter away, a small figure flits from the shadows of the tree to tree until he comes upon the unfortunate adventurers. He shakes his head, and glancing quickly over them to check for vital signs and who is most in need of healing. Seeing that the bald man appears to be the only one still actively bleeding, he quietly pulls out a small berry from his pocket and puts it into the man's mouth.

hide 1d20+17 : 12 + 17, total 29

move silently 1d20+1 : 8 + 1, total 9
I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

He then notices the figure hidden in the rushes a bit from the others (ninja), and it too is still bleeding out. Finding his berry pocket empty, he tries to stabilize its wounds manually.

Out from the marsh comes sauntering a rather large bat riding a rather mean looking dog. The bat looks like some grotesque cross between a man and a bat, one of those "What has magic done?!?!" abominations. In a squeaky, high pitched voice, the bat introduces itself "The shockers are quite nasty around here, aren't they? I'm Eek, another friend of the land. Should we save these poor souls, friend?"

It'll be slow going but i can help get one out of here, unless anyone has some rope. Then we can lash the two together at least and i can help the dog pull them away from here at least far enough away from the lizards to feel relatively safe.
