Azire waits for the half-orcs and Gareth outside the tavern, so that the four of them can meet this Charles fellow.

Charles taps his foot, waiting. Yes, he had been there since an hour before sunrise, but that was no excuse for his hired minions not being here at five after sunrise. Reliable help was so difficult to find, there must be a better way than paying mercenaries.

Battleaxe and Overbite report for duty. ((Both have recovered 1 hp for resting one night. I believe that puts them at 1 hp each.))

Overbite mutters something about having mistaken a chamber pot, but neither offers an excuse for their tardiness.

The little gnome shows up early with some berries which he goes around force feeding to the injured folks.

Battleaxe and Overbite accept the berries without hesitation. This druid saved their lives before -- plus, berries!

((Each merc takes 4 berries apiece. Both are fully restored to 6 hp.))

Azire asks the mercs:
So, where is this Charles? I need to talk to him. And what about the other guy? Do any of you know anything about him? He seemed nice.

"Here, for over an hour. I have no need for further employees, but if you're willing to pay your own way, I'm not averse to more traveling companions." he replies as he steps from under the awning.

((Will Charles be heading off in search of the Wolf goblins? Does Azire intend to go with them? Who are the druids going with?))

((Are you ready for a new/travel thread? If so, I can go ahead an launch one.))

So you here you are. Well, I intend to associate with you. We'd be... companions, as you say. We equally divide our loot and watch you for each other's backs during combat. Are you fine with these conditions?
If yes:
Let's get on with this, then! Oh, no, wait. There's a guy that wants to talk to you too. I wonder where he is. Will you wait for him?

"We can wait, but not too much longer. Goblin bounties won't collect themselves, and we have a ways to go to make it to the mountains."
