Dabus

This may seem a silly question, but I'm running out of places to look and it's driving me mad. In 2e, Dabus were tall, bipedal humanoids with "shocks of white hair" and four horns. Were they ever described as having any other appearance? I vaguely remember them being shown at least once as colorful little motes with limbs instead of being fully-formed humanoids. The cover of Dragon #339 shows little creatures around the Lady of Pain, which I suppose are supposed to be Dabus, but I'm not sure.

From Wikipedia:

"Physically, a Dabus resembles a humanoid with yellow-tan skin, goatlike horns, and a shock of white hair. Dabus float off the ground, their feet never touching the earth. The character Fell is the only exception to this."
What do I win?
An awesome-five for mentioning Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.

There's also some similiar creatures in the Dragon Compendium.
