D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder / Re: 3.5 Mage Hunter
« on: July 24, 2022, 11:49:16 PM »
i think you're right! the layout of that is terrible

Quote
Feats: Training for the mage hunter prestige class gives a character the following feats:
- Great Fortitude
- Iron Will
- Leadership
the layout is indeed idiotic.
however, i firmly believe that is part of the prereqs ....
in order to be a certified Mage Hunter, you have to complete Mage Hunter Training™ ; i.e., completing Mage Hunter Training "gets" you those feats.  iow, not obtaining those feats means you haven't yet completed training.  go back and complete training.
so, it's assuming that you have to spend your own feat slots on those feats, as a representation that you completed Training.

yes, one of the most idiotic write-ups evar

i would just like to point out that using Divine Minion as an entry strategy is a bit suspect.
as per the template text, it only changes alignment subtypes, but does not add them.

Jebus, bhu -- have you ever had anything resembling a "normal" workplace?
I swear, "bhu's workplaces" = "kevinvideo's GMs" .... it's f'n crazy.

also, .... yeah, is she at least hot?

Sleepworking is awesome.  reminds me of sleepmarching in the army (though, sleepshooting made for some interesting moments).

re: 18 assassinated relationships -- depends on your age on what kind of "sucks" that is, i guess.
find your dudes, share a drink, figure it out in the morning.  should probably stop keeping count, except for your therapist.

@SorO: don't worry man, i think you're tits.  your cynical no-patience-for-bs style is pretty fresh.

feedback system for appeals. All actions they take also come with an explanation and multiple warnings are issued before any temp bans are.
this very much was the case at one point in time; but I can tell you from first hand experience that this is absolutely no longer the case.
just fyi.

Fuck that, I was born in the eighties thankyouverymuch.

(sorry for delay)

okay, this past saturday -- good god, there's too much to cover in one post.  I'll summarize:
1) Long live the Eagle of Dagastan.
2) Tapper McNuggets needs to stay his ass home.
3) Ferguson is an absolute madman.
4) Derrick Lewis is Legend.

To SorO_Lost's observation (in the interest of completeness):
Quote from: Savage Progressions article
Savage Species takes dozens of existing monsters from the Monster Manual and presents them as though they were character classes -- that is, it breaks down the monster's benefits into levels and presents them as advancement tables. Thus, a young ogre (ECL 1) could join a 1st-level adventuring party and gain levels along with his friends. Upon reaching his full growth (at an ogre's base ECL of 6), he begins gaining class levels like the rest of the characters.
This simultaneously calls out the base "take all levels of monster class" rule, while also calling out that this article provides specific exception to said rule.

That would be a "no".
To wit:
Quote from: Residual Magic feat
The second spell doesn't count as being affected by a metamagic feat for the purpose of this benefit (that is, it doesn't entitle you to apply the metamagic feat to a spell you might cast in the following round).

(disclaimer: mma happens to be the only sport I watch ... if you want other sports, that's on you)

Well, a month out from UFC 230, we finally have a main event for Madison Square Garden  .... wait for it ... Valentina Shevchenko vs Sijara Eubanks.

Joe Rogan hasn't even ever heard of Eubanks' name.   :blink

Take a bow, Dana White.  Not only have you completely shit on the rest of the card by giving a main event to a 3-2 TUF drop-out, but you also lost the much-anticipated Valentina-v-Joanna as the co-main for 231.
Do you really hate Nate Diaz that much?  I understand not going for the whole new division thing; that's fine.  Hell, since you refused to give Jones ppv points (and rightly so) .... maybe you could have done yet another "interim" title for Rockhold-v-Weidman 2, with the winner getting a shot at the winner of Whitaker-v-Gastelum.
Don't get me wrong, I love me some Valentina - she's my favorite female fighter, and easily top-5 fighter period - but this is a god-awful embarrassment.

(sorry if I blew a joke -- you'll have to explain)
I alluded to a Deadpool reference, but without knowing how you'd take I didn't go all the way.
Oh shit, that's right -- "it's a little hard to hear you with that pity-dick in your mouth".  :lmao  :clap
... but I already fucked it up. sorry.  :( :blush

pitty party accepted and filed accordingly.
Sure, leave it to you to turn this in to a dick-waving contest :P ;)
You don't know bbcode?  the "spoiler" in brackets at the front of the text, and "/spoiler" in brackets at the end. (ninja'd by aDMg)

Gaming Advice / Re: Whole House Trap? (D&D 3.5)
« on: September 30, 2018, 06:36:30 AM »
[thread necro]
probably not relevant anymore; but it's good to have a book of ideas in your hip pocket:
there was an adventure printed sometime somewhere (probably an old Dungeon mag) that involved a mansion where each door within acted as a different card from the Deck of Many Things, opening the door activated it.
I'm super hazy on the details; but I remember adapting that idea for an adventure one time for a high-ish level party.  I seem to remember that I put (un)hallow on the site, with a dimension lock rider.
it was fun.
