Gaming Advice / Ever felt the need to rebalance a significant portion of a video game before?

I'll share mine. I recently 'fixed' a good portion of civ4. Don't get me wrong its a great game. But a lot of it was generic / not awesome enough. Besides reverse engineering the unit balance rules to 'customize' special civ units, I revamped the civics and a lot of the game constants like the fact that merchants shouldn't create as many great people as artists, etc.
I'm considering rom-hacking the original pokemon series to make sure there are no 2 pokemon with the same type combination, making the elemental counters more sensical, etc.

baaaaaaaaaaaah. IE ate my post. It was awesome too!
short and sweet: been around since 339. I fix things. Too many things. Top 1000 ranked dota players. I move around and stay off the grid (They are watching you!)
Facebook? Google plus? You must be insane. You know people do reconnaisance (aka stalking) to learn where your children go to school, what they look like and how best to gain power over you right? I don't touch that stuff with a stick.
