One of the locals whispers back to Barkley:

“Princess Griselda's came to our port in her personal vessel and wanted to evacuate us from the island. But we don't want to abandon our town and temple. The village's elder and the gompa serving Pha went to discuss the matter with the princess inside the ship.  And now the great fairy herself is joining the parley! Wait, you make part of Pha's entourage, don't you mister koopa? In that case the guards should let you pass to meet the princess as well.”

Squeaks could hardly begin to understand much of the arguing among the various folk and armed folk from where it sat hidden, but tensions seemed high, and the icy fairy seemed confident, so when the icy fairy started to leave for the ship Squeaks quickly fell in tow but remained hidden within her shadow where it felt safest. It certainly didn't want to stick around near these armed angry people working for this....Princess Grizzly? Squeaks wasn't fond of bears, much less ones with armed guards.....

Entering the ship behind, or under Pha if she was likely flying, the little deku suddenly vastly regretted this decision as it soon found itself walking amid more of that Princess Grizzly's guards and appeared to visibly make an attempt to shrink in size; if it weren't trying to actively not be visible though. Eventually led into a room with an important looking woman, her introduction as Princess Griselda likely only become further misunderstanding for poor Squeaks who was now frantically worrying about having just been locked in a room with some boss like character under Princess Grizzly's leadership.

Pha got intrigued by the moon tear and figured the princess was more likely to have an idea of what to do with it that any of them. She seemed likelier to have an idea on how to deal with the situation as well than anyone else so far, to think of it. It was worth knowing if they could help in some way, while they were busy saving the temples.

"We still have the forest temple to restore before we may leave the island. Will you be returning to sea after they are evacuated?"
She tried not to make it too obvious that she was probing the possibility that they could all hitch a ride on the ship toward another temple when they would be done.

"Your grace please do look at the crystal, I was just hoping that it might be able to help us figure out of the predicament of the moon falling.  Kong let her have it" Though the princess seems trustworthy Gompa feels better knowing that his new friends have followed him.  The guards did not seem like nice people and that elf hasn't even said anything.  He's starting to wonder about that guy.

Squeaks succeeds in remaining hidden in the middle of the bigger beings.

"We still have the forest temple to restore before we may leave the island. Will you be returning to sea after they are evacuated?"
Griselda's eyes momentarily shift from the glowing stone on Kong's hands to Pha.
Oh, a great fairy in my ship! This surely is a sign the goddesses blessing my path. Yes, my ship will return to sea after the villagers are safely inside. But you plan to challenge the forest temple at this time? I thought you were supposed to find a brave lad clad in green to guide.

"Your grace please do look at the crystal, I was just hoping that it might be able to help us figure out of the predicament of the moon falling.  Kong let her have it" Though the princess seems trustworthy Gompa feels better knowing that his new friends have followed him.
The princess solemnly picks the glowing gem and then stares at it closely for what looks like long moments.

...You have my grattitude for bringing me this. I will now need some time to careffully study it.

The guards did not seem like nice people and that elf hasn't even said anything.  He's starting to wonder about that guy.
The elf seems to have been carefully observing the situation, seemingly content with letting the others speak first for now. But sensing an opening in the conversation, he  starts talking in a tone of superiority:

“Ahem, princess, as the village elder there are some matters I would like to discuss with you about your so-called evacuation. First there is the matter of your ship's security and then we'll need to clarify your authority and-”

So that's why my guards were taking so long boarding up the villagers. I shall give you a new matter for you to think about.-sighs Griselda, intterumpting the elder as she picks up a sealed scroll from the table and hands it to the elder elf, who opens it somewhat suspicious.

“W-where did you get this? H-how could you have found out about this?”-The elder elf face starts turning pale in what looks like a mix of surprise and fear as he opens and reads the scroll.

Just consider yourself grateful that I'm offering you such a good deal. I would usually seek to get a better return for something of that kind, but you can consider this my treat due to the current situation. I require some quiet now to properly study this tear of the moon.-smiles Griselda.

The elder elf opens his mouth but says nothing, just carefully hiding the scroll inside his clothes before Griselda nods for her guards to escort him out of the room.

Once the grown-ups are done talking, Jeremy pipes up, "I'm could put on some green clothes if it would help!"

Griselda looks with surprise at Jeremy after he speaks those words, then calmly smiles:
You say you want to follow the path of legend, young man? Those are not light words. But a brave lad may just be what we need to inspire the hyrulian people. A strong symbol that'll help unite the races in a common cause. Indeed, not only a great fairy follows your steps, but a koopa and a gompa as well. In that case the first thing we need to get for this brave boy is indeed a proper suit. I just happen to have gathered some green garments over my research of ancient legends. It's not clear which design the hero of legend used, for the records on that matter are fragmented. But I'm sure the goddess will guide your decision. Pick one if you're willing to accept the burden of protecting others, young man.

The princess pulls five packages from under piles of scrolls and carefully opens them so that Jeremy can see their contents. Somehow, just by looking at the uniforms, a voice speaks inside the boy's head, telling him of their properties.

Gompa decides it will be easier to talk to the elder about the message given to him rather than press the princess, on to other things"Perhaps your grace we should share information the fairy has been to the temple and you must know much about this falling moon." Yes that will work an information exchange will get Gompa to understand what is going on here.  Why is the fairy concerned with this one temple Hyrule is dotted with them, and why would the princess be concerned with these specific elves at the same time the fairy was here.

Pha seemed to like Gompa's idea. She made four quick hand claps with enthusiasms, two of which were made by a pair of hands that wasn't there a second before. They vanished just as fast.
Maybe it wasn't common knowledge, so she explained.
"The temples in this world are zones of influence and Fate! Heroes can test their mettle there and confirm their destiny and others can give their plea to the world and be chosen as a temple's sage. A sage can use the temple's influence to change the land and accomplish miracles! If we restore the temples, or prevent their corruption, we could restore land and channel our will to it so that it defends itself against the falling moon."

She crossed her arms smugly.
"We can't deny Destiny! A hero will emerge and the land will be restored. That is our sacred mandate!"

"Perhaps your grace we should share information the fairy has been to the temple and you must know much about this falling moon."
Griselda looks around for a moment , making sure the guards and elf have left and there's nobody else to listen, then her face turns serious.
Some of the most ancient scriptures claim that our moon is actually a hollow construct. I had my doubts about such tales, but recent events and this glowing stone that you brought me gives me strong reasons to believe it. It may appear but a exotic gem to most eyes, but my eyes can notice its diminute intricate details, my hands can feel the complex patterns in its surface. This moon tear is an advanced artificial craft of a level my finest artisans couldn't even hope to dream. Who built this object, as well as the moon  from which it came, or why, is a lost secret that even Farore may not know, but the movements of the orb in the sky could theoretically be controlled. Yet it's now breaking apart, falling upon us. I would suppose this is a result of its ancient mechanisms failing due to to the decay of time since it should be impossible for anyone on this world to reach the moon. However some of my royal astronomers sent me reports of spotting beings that can sail through the void between the stars like we sail on waters, landing on the moon over the last few months. It is too possible they placed it on this path, perhaps out of hate to this world, perhaps out of simple ignorance. I asked m astronomers to keep this information secret until I could be completely sure of it, and must request the same from you.

Destiny cannot be denied, but the problem is time. By my observations, the moon is falling faster and faster. It shall collide with our land in a matter of just two days. It is impossible to travel to all the sacred temples in such a short period, even if the sages would all cooperate with us right away. However, the temple sages have grown distant from the outside world, rumors are that they've become corrupted in their isolations. The land will eventually be restored, but that may happen only after a massive cataclysm. It wouldn't be the first event of that kind according to some versions of the legends, which would explain the ruins of forgotten civilizations in this world. There was the great flood, and the age of monsters, and the dark dream among others. Please do not share this information with anyone else lightly, it would only raise panic. I still have hope of finding a miracle to stop the moon, or at least delay it. The moon tear, if I study it further I may be able to find a way to interact with the falling orb. I feel like it's part of a larger mechanism. We would only need to find the other pieces. Perhaps they are in the temples after all. But my main priority right now is taving as many people as I can to a safer location. An exodus to another dimension if everything else fails. If at least we had more time...

After much deliberation, Jeremy picks up the timeless tunic.  "Thank you," he says politely.
Griselda smiles warmly at Jeremy.
No, I should be the one thanking you. You're not even from the Hyrulian isles, I can see it in your manners, yet you're willing to help us so eagerly. The tunic you choosed represents the eternal aspect of the hero of legend, existing in all eras. That's not only poetry, for some of the legends tell that the hero could travel between different points of history. They are two the ancient artifacts that would allow one to travel between the present and the past. The first is the Ocarina of Time, which was a regalia of the Hyrulian family for many generations but  was stolen seven years ago by the Meta Knight. The second is the Harp of Ages, which was never in our lands, was last reported to be in the hands of a blue-haired bard in the eastern plains of the Elibe continent some months ago. They're thus both out of my reach as I cannot leave my duties in the Hyrulian isles.

Squeaks' stunned silence, and cover, broke for but a mere moment as a strong shiver ran down it's back causing the clear sound of rustling leaves to be heard from Pha along with a low, worried squeal. "Two...two days...Grizzly says only two days? Everything ends so soon? Moon falls, everything ends....But, but, no. Nonononoo, how can we save?"The deku curled up, wrapping it's arms around itself and staring at the ground for a few moments lost in shock at this clear end of days upon it.

Suddenly, though, It bounced into the air, actually into Pha who it'd been hiding behind/under, and let loose a shrill, piercing squeak as thoughts connected together in It's head "Mean Not-Fairy said Moon could be stopped! Aert...arty...Artifacts? Bad people stole artifacts.....*SQUEAKS!* Temple has Artifact, Not-Fairy said! Not-Fairy knows how to save!"

The princess talking about the hollow moon and the space travelers allowed her to focus her memories momentarily on her consciousness in other dimensions. Being an aspect made it slip from world to world unconsciously so often she barely noticed the variations anymore. In some of them she met a space traveler named Rabbit whom had talked to her about that people. They were dangerous.
She couldn't recall much of it all anymore, it was in another dimension, another time. Parts of her that lingered wondered silently if the Pha who followed Kong, Jeremy, Zax and Rabbit had managed to clear the temple.

The princess was right, of course. There had been a few hiccups with Destiny before and calamities occurred... now that she mentioned it. It had been so long ago that they now felt like half-forgotten nightmares. She wouldn't be able to tell which ones had indeed happened and which were imagine, or were part of some other dimension whose events didn't happen in the one she currently experienced. Perhaps the corruption of the temples was affecting her as well, to a point.
She then caught up to the two days issue, which suddenly felt very important. Thinking back, it was now the second day and they still hadn't cleared one temple. That didn't look too good.

The fae gasped as Squeak collided with her head. Still surprised and unsure of what was going on she tried to grab him before he fell, only managing to send him a bit higher into the air to catch with her other hand in, panicked. He bounced like this twice like a hot potato before she firmly grasped him, her eyes wide as the excitement dwindled and understanding crept in.
"Weeh? Fadore has an artifact to stop the moon in the temple?"

She looked back at the princess.
"We really should hurry then!"

"Star power, your grace it may be the only answer with only two days left.  Thought it seems more likely that is the cause than strange men from the stars.  It is well known that King Bowser and King Marsello have used it in the past this seems like a consequence of their actions."  Gompa says pendantically.  Hmm the fairy has been to the temple and he had gained much information from the exchange.   The name of the Sage surely asking around in town would give him more information about the creature, and perhaps its weaknesses.  Temples were used to challenge surely something on the island could help.   Better still they had come out only three before now they were five perhaps that wouldn't be enough.  "Perhaps your grace could spare some of her guard and they could join with the hero and go to the temple."  He nods in Jeremy's direction.  She seemed to want to support some belief in this old tradition of youths saving things.

The princess looks startled for a moment at Squeak's sudden reveal, then giggles a little.

A Deku? It's my first time seeing one so close. Seems like the records about them being masters of hiding are true after all. But what really surprises me is a deku so brave to challenge a sacred temple's sage.

She looked back at the princess.
"We really should hurry then!"
Indeed. May the goddesses bless your path, and allow me to ask you a favor.  My crew will need some time for repairs before seting sail again, so if you manage to recovert the artifact swiftly, please bring it to me.

I've heard stories about the great deeds that star power can achieve. Now I really regret never making time to visit the Mushroom Kingdom. Even if it's not the direct cause, it may help us avert this crisis. I will research that topic carefully whilre you're gone. So many ancient scriptures to learn, so little time...

I'm still not queen. My guards obey mine orders to a degree, but they are sworn to never move too distant from me. This room is basically as much privacy as I'm allowed out of the castle.

However I can make sure you depart well supplied. You seem to already have good weapons and armor, so I would suggest you take some bombs from the ship's armory.

"Sure!"

Pha remembered that she had decided to pass on the bombs the first time they were offered in the village, thinking that anything that had anything to do with flames was bad news to carry around with her.
She *had* noticed a few times while going around in the temple where dropping a bomb woulda been hellova useful. She wouldn't miss the extra edge to her arsenal this time around.
"Cool! Thank you!"

Perhaps the bombs she left in town were still there as well. They'd fit in a bomb bag nicely if they could find one; the darn thing were encumbering to keep on one's person.

After they would be done fetching bombs, being well rested, she trusted the princess' guards to be able to escort the elder on their own. They hadn't a moment to lose to idleness.
"TO THE TEMPLE!"

Thank you He replies kindly to princess Griselda.  He knew she wouldn't risk her soldiers lives it was worth the question though.

As they walk outSo what is actually in the temple since you three have been in there before what happened last time?  I don't want to go in unprepared. While the rest of the party is picking up bombs.

Gompa also keeps an ear out for the the elder, though he guesses any elf will do.  He and his Kong will try to find an elf and figure out where the elder went and ask about the elder and this Fadore and possibly anyone else who challenged the temple, or never reached it.

The tardy koopa knight was slow to arrive.  It was a combination of distraction and red tape, but he finally made it into the princess' ship and was approaching the room where Pha and the others were being addressed.

By my observations, the moon is falling faster and faster. It shall collide with our land in a matter of just two days. It is impossible to travel to all the sacred temples in such a short period, even if the sages would all cooperate with us right away...

Barkley hesitated.  What was this he was hearing?  Quietly he crept in, staying in the back and listening to this dire warning.  Bollocks, quite impossible.  There's one meteor, and they're worried about the moon falling?  That couldn't be true, could it?  Staying in the background so not to interrupt, he'd wait til Gompa turned about to leave himself.

"Hey.  I heard the back end of that.  This isn't real, right?" he asked under his breath.  Or maybe it is, the goomba seemed convinced as well.  "Didn't she say we only had 48 hours?  How would we even handle that?  I'm brave, but not that fast.  Not even in a go-kart.  Are you planning something?"
Mudada.

Gompa thinks for a second leading the Hammer Brother out.  It was never good to lie when the truth would get what was needed.  He says each statement quickly when between the guards. No, I don't truly believe that the moon is going to fall and destroy the world.  What I do believe is that storm and the moons change will destroy the island and possibly this entire kingdom.  Our best chance isn't on this ship the enchantments on her didn't protect the riggings from one meteor.  Our best chance is in that old temple on the island.  There is said to be a sage there, and perhaps that sages power could be harnessed.  The others came from that temple and lost.  The fairy wants to charge back in, but I worry that the temple guardians will be better prepared now.  The two of us may not be enough of an edge, we're going to quickly try to rally some help, either items or bodies, before following her.  I'm also interested in how one becomes a sage, did you see an old elf leave?

Jeremy pipes up again, having been distracted by his new clothes.  "If we don't have much time then let's go!"
