One that still possesses some giveaway traits that you're not quite human, and does nothing to hide that you have literally no stealth abilities to speak of. At least as a statue you can pretend to be scenery. :lmao

... This isn't the monster-feat alternate form, - it's a racial/class SLA Alternate form. I'm not sure if that still comes with giveaways.

(Being able to pretend to be a *human* paladin is subtle, by the standards of a 12ft tall angel statue)

Oh, right, angels get Change Shape.

I presume there is some sort of giveaway in your case because you have no CON score and are thus technically not alive. No pulse or something? But that's just my guessing.

Still, not alive and super high Charisma... you're clearly a vampire. :P

... My intent for my human form is "supernaturally-beautiful warrior-woman with golden hair" so I suppose the default would be "Valkyrie". But I suppose vampires *can* have whatever aesthetic they like.

Osle's monster class refers back to the monster entry in the SRD, which in turn refers back to general Change Shape special ability: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#changeShape

The creature is effectively camouflaged as a creature of its new form, and gains a +10 bonus on Disguise checks if it uses this ability to create a disguise.
It's not foolproof, but a +10 bonus to Disguise is a very solid start. Casual low-level observers should be automatically fooled.

... I assumed that that only mattered in the context of trying to do a specific disguise, since the idea of a transformation magic failing to effectively make you look like not-a-12ft-tall-statue did not occur to me.

You may roll Knowledge (local) or Gather Information to know more about the Red Guard.

Know: local
Rolled 1d20+9 : 16 + 9, total 25

There are many whispers about the Red Guard.
Hmm.

I have added graded results up to DC25 into the IC post. The demons seem to be well-informed.

Yuki apparently has no clue about the guards to a truly impressive extent that suggests she hasn't actually noticed they exist yet.

I'm finally recovering and capable again to sit in front of a PC again for more than a short burst.

So what plan do you want to settle on?
You won't really need to carve your own elaborate wooden gift horse. None of you has the special attention of the Cardinalesse as far as you are aware, and late revelers entering Old Chancel are a routine transaction.

I'm still a fan of only paying the guards off if they take note. Being well-dressed enough to not immediately attract attention should help.

Shouldn't take much either if we do it right.

Yeah, we do seem to be overthinking this.

Before replying IC, sense motive to check if how much the guards are lying, in particular if we can sense the minimum level of bribery we'll need to actually get through. 19 from Anoitecer and 27 from Lobinha.

Also Lobinha setting up Presence Draconic Aura for possible Bluff/Diplomacy.

As obvious too anyone but the most naïve farmboy, the guards are signalling their willingness to be bribed with the thinnest veneer of plausible deniability. The offer seems to be good.

Both Anoitecer and Lobinha have a good idea of what level of bribe would make the Diplomacy check how difficult:

DC 15: 10+gp per head (120+gp for the entire group)
DC 20: 5gp per head (60gp for the entire group)
DC 25: 2gp per head (24gp for the entire group)
DC 30: 0.1gp per head (1.2gp for the entire group)
DC 35: Attempt to get by for free

Since it seems like we're not being "threatened or distracted", can Lobinha and/or Anoitecer take 10 on diplomacy? With the Presence Draconic aura either could automatically reach the DC 30 treshold that way.

... angel is non-trivially interested in just giving them the 120gp, but is willing to let someone else negotiate down to 10-25gp.
