Matsu aims the scalpel of his mind at the foul creature ensnared in his mindweb, and precisely slashes at its psyche, draining its life energy and transfering a portion of it to his injured comrade.

Maganna goes out swinging, taking off fingernails but not much else, while Matsu's connection to the aberration falters at a key moment, though it still managed to pull out some threat.  There would be no luck today.

Drosselmeter found himself in a tough situation.  Hands were all about him, but he jumped back and opened his mouth to smite them all with the power he learned from experience with the helmet.  "Digits shall not avail thee, under my command, I demand ye KNEEL!"

BOOM!

Hmmm.  That... that was supposed to make them fall down with thunderous retort, not mildly inconvience them.  The hands crowd about him in pursuit.

Well crap.

The hands, and the scissorman, step forward into new positions with the girl and the rat seemingly their two biggest targets.  If Magana falls, it can escape with another prize and leave the rest of these creatures to their fate.  The hands all go for her, with the attacks piling in mass but very little slowing her down.  It was enough to find herself with the scissorman's blades coming at her, and they are every bit as dangerous as they look!

Drosselmeyer is not as fortunate, as the hands dogpile him into the floor.

The blast that the spider let out against their main enemy was impressively aimed, yet not so impressive in its intensity. The cackling laughter that accompanied the purple flare was not, however, so meagre.

The wound was minor, but the curse was not (no save).  You can choose what to apply.  You know it is undead, so shaken probably won't work.  But the others...

-2 attack rolls for 1 minute.  You have chosen wisely.

The rats continue their hail of makeshift arrows down on their foes, adding another -2 penalty to attack to the mix.  This should help!

One more appendage still stood before the dwarf before he could move in and start severing Scissorhands' hands.

There is the crack of bone and the spray of bloody ichor as you cleave into the hand, dropping it at you feet.  It is trampled underfoot as you step forth, and can make the next attack either against Cyan, or the Scissorman.

His first swing satisfyingly putting that hand down in one go, Axejack moved ahead to challenge the demon to his axe.

Matsu decides that perhaps he should add a bit more meat to the meatshields standing between him and the swarm of hands and it's master...

Drosselmeyer was in a dangerous situation, completely surrounded and swarmed.  His pride would not allow him to cry out for help, but his eyes flashed with fear at being unable to strongarm his way out of this quagmire.

"N-no... not here..."

The rat took a risk.  The sound of his voice echoed around him again and the air exploded in a sharp piercing sound, point blank over his own head and blasting the hands onto their back where they lay twitching and disabled.  It looks like his risk paid off... also, OW.  He scurried off, wounded, heading for the great throne with the vision-inducting helmet sat upon it.  Maybe the gods would know what to do...

Meanwhile, Magana lashes out with her Trident, which barely makes its way past the hand's thick and gnarled flesh before setting firmly in between its joints.  Magana's victory was short lived, as one hand leaps at her face distracting her long enough for the Scissorman to wail away at her, splattering the surroundings with vicereal gore!  Thank god for those tempoerary hit points, but even invigorated... that will leave a scar.

Axejack fairs a bit better, now one on one with a disembodied hand.  It also makes a grab at him, making a feeble but effective attempt at yanking his beard entirely too hard.  Take that dwarf!

Another blast lanced out from the rafters, continuing to focus on the uncanny scissorman. The laughter seemed far more genuine this time.

The rat swarms above you see that their glorious leader has escaped certain death.  And more importantly, the scissorman was actively taking damage!  They decide to focus fire on the scissorman, and while their attacks are largely ineffective, it weakens the scissorman's defenses.  Scissorman's AC is -2 for this round.

Age of Axejack, now in theaters.

When it came to the Scissorman, for all of their numbers the rats were only able to drive off the demon, nevermind significantly wound it.  Yet the combination of eldritch rays and weighy axes were beginning to take a toll, and the monster begin to look a bit unsteady as wide swatches of meat was cleaved and scorched from bone.

Matsu decides that he needs to keep that scissorman away from him at all costs. He tries to push the creature down with a psychokinetic thrust of energy.

Undead.  The hand-creatures are living though.  You can change your actions if you see fit to adjust for this information.

Matsu's mind invaded into the neural network of that horrid hand-thing, and though he felt resistance there would not be enough to keep it functioning.  The hand spasmed, dropping from its combat stance and flopping onto its back with fingers curled like a dead insect.  It was alive only technically and would be out of everyone's hair for now.  Axejack felt a little better about it too.

In the back of the chaos, Drosselmeyer was picking himself up from near certain death.  He still drew breath, and as long as he did he'd still command power in here!  He pointed at the devil tearing at the humans and commanded, "Perish!  Otku-qpkge-ybijp!"  Nearby glass shattered and exploded, as a shockwave rippled through the air, knocking away one of the hands which shuddered and went unconscious, and weakening the skeleton of the scissorman.

As Axejack swung away at his opposition, parrying blows left and right, the now sole remaining severed hand scuttled underneath his notice and took a leap at Magana, palm slapping against her face and causing her to stumble backwards as it clung tightly.  This is new, and given Magana's screams of protest likely unpleasant.  Axejack will have no time to focus on that however.  To this point the scissorman had been exclusively gunning for Magana's soft lady hands, but it has been assaulted, effectively, considerably now.  If it keeps this up it will perish before it can harvest the new tender meat.  With a harsh sound of grinding metal it slid its scissors shut and let out a warcry, wielding the blade like a sword now against the dwarf in a wild and furious matter, blood splattering across the floor and walls!  At this rate it will cut Axejack into ribbons!
