At the sound of the woman's voice, Galadren puts on his most pleasant smile.

"Now there's a pleasant sound.  We were worried you weren't coming back to us.  Now that you are, how about we take a nice walk outside?  The sun should still be up."

Galadren says as he draws his dagger and swiftly cuts away the remainder of the rope around the woman's legs.

"Dunor, think you can loan the lady a shoulder?  I'll take point - let's get out of here for now."

Galadren suggests, pulling out his crossbow as he stands and smoothly slides a fresh bolt into place.  The smile he put on for the lady morphs back into a serious grimace as the elf stalks back out of the room, stealthily checking the route back out to the surface.  The elf was no stranger to goblinoid cruelty, but this latest demonstration burned against the blur of his half-memories like an ember spat up into the night sky.  Someone was going to pay for this.

Once outside, Galadren swiftly moves through the surrounding area, searching for a quiet secluded spot where camp could be discretely made.  Preferably somewhere nearby and peaceful that would leave the woman at ease while resting there, followed closely after by somewhere any roaming goblin patrols were unlikely to notice.

The group searches the nearby wilds for a safe spot. Shandien happens upon a close copse of trees. Entering through the closely knit pine boughs he discovers a small cleared area. A small fire ring of stones lays at it's center with a few logs for seats. On each log at certain areas are scratched roughly drawn symbols of various animal or plant representations.

It appears to not have been used for a very long time but the shelter provided by the trees has preserved this area well enough. When the rest of the group arrives. Galadren bolsters the hidden nature of the spot, further concealing it from prying eyes.

Even in the heat of the day, the woman shivers. She is burning to the touch indicating the latter stages of the disease. Through chattering teeth she say, "Thank you." as she reaches the spot and virtually collapses onto one of the logs.

"Hmm... we cannot leave her here alone, but there are more villagers in the place who could still be alive. What should we do?"

Overhearing the possibility of being left alone again she shakes uncontrollably, though it is difficult to tell if this is through fear or the fever, "No..." her teeth chatter between words "Please...don't..leave..memmme.."

Tanthalus looks to the others.  "This woman is gravely ill and requires attention.  Unfortunately the disease has passed the point that I can cure it, it requires a more experienced healer."

"You have to be brave, okay? This is the safest place for you right now and there are others that needs rescuing. You know better than anyone how it is in there, we can't leave anyone behind. Just stay here and focus on yourself, you just need to be strong a little while longer until we're back, just a little bit."

Turning to his companions, Theo continues.

"If we can't do anything about her condition now, our only option is to move swiftly and rescue the others so that we can return them all. Unless one of us takes her back to town, but we probably can't afford to split up given how close we've been to..." the halfling speech pewters out as the repressed memories of friends dying over the last few days surface. He turns silent, a vacant look on his face.

The woman watches from the trees as the group departs back to the ruins. Descending the stairs again you find that the place does not sound like it is under any alarm yet. You arrive in the entry chamber at the foot of the stairs.

"Since we had to leave the woman behind, let us be quick about finding the rest down here." Tanthalus states concerned about getting back to the woman to treat her. "There was a set of iron spiral stairs in the chamber with the stone sarcophagi we could take, or we could head toward that room that Galadren was telling us about, with the magical tapestry." looking to his elven brethren.

Dunor considers the options for a moment.

"I'd prefer we stay away from magic tapestries. At least until we can find the other townsfolk and..." The human looks off into the distance. "...Get them safe."

He checks the wrappings on his weapon, and retightens them where it's needed.

"Let's check the stairway."

Dunor takes the lead.

The group enters the large room with the spiral stair. The bodies of those you dispatched still lay where they were slain and you step over them to reach the based of the circular climb.

Galadren didn't like the idea of moving on while leaving unexplored areas behind them - whatever was there could make things difficult if they needed to make a speedy retreat later.  Still, the rescue of the woman, despite her poor health, had boosted Galadren's morale considerably, to the point that he was confident in their ability to escape should things get ugly.

Reaching the room where they had dealt with the small army of goblins, Galadren's ears perk up as he hears something coming from the top of the circular climb.  Pointing at the stairs and then up, he motions for a halt, and then mouths "Bad Guys".
Beckoning Dunor to come with him, Galadren moves to one side of the stairway and peers up as far as the spiral nature of the staircase allows.
If he sees nothing, he cautiously advances up and around until he can, although he lets Dunor take the lead if the man wishes to take the lead - with his double-bladed sword he was certainly better equipped to be leading at the front than Galadren.

Tanthalus remains at the bottom of the stairs, ready to render aid to his comrades if need be.
