Oh, we've crossed that line twice. :rolleyes

Problem is Trump isn't any kind of a solution, even a massively destructive hare-brained one. He's just more of the same, with the volume turned way up.
A little madness goes a long way...

So Trump wants to work with arch-proglodyte Bill Gates to shut down the internet.
Meanwhile, arch-proglodyte Eric Schmidt at Google wants to censor "hate speech": http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/07/opinion/eric-schmidt-on-how-to-build-a-better-web.html?_r=1
If Trump is a managed front for anyone, perhaps it is his good buddies, the Clintons: https://pjmedia.com/trending/2015/12/9/jeb-bush-maybe-donald-trump-negotiated-a-deal-with-his-buddy-hillary-clinton

Well looks like trouble for the Planned Parenthood shooter.  New is reporting that during a court motion he blurted out that there shouldn't be a trial because he's guilty, and referred to himself as 'a warrior for the babies'.

Not reported is his attorneys response, which i would imagine is something to the effect of "Well...fuck..."

On the other hand, I will enjoy the delicious and plentiful salt from those who were "it's clearly a leftist transgendered liberal unrelated to PP, for realz".

Tangentially back to Trump, because everyone in the party wants to be him.

Can we make a "no more Trump links" rule?  Because the more we click on stuff like that, the more the media pays attention to him, the more power he gets.

I can get behind that if the thread would ever pay attention to anything but the US presidential primaries. Or even pay attention to anything but the republicans for more than four posts (derailments into arguments about fascism don't count) :P

There's a problem with that though.  Trump is currently in the lead in the primary.  So while I support a reduction of Trump stuff, you can't eliminate it.  Ignoring the problem doesn't make it go away.

Sure why not?  I mean, it sounds like you've got some issues over there with that last link.  Another problem with the whole "so much US stuff" thing is that, well, most of us live in the US, the US is the third largest country by population, and it's one of if not the most important/powerful nation in the world.  So naturally a lot that happens here affects what happens elsewhere.  Oh, and of course, not many people link stuff from overseas, and when if does happen a lot of us don't know the full context (that goes both ways).
