I have two questions about your character did you have an estimated age for Egua.  Is she a very new goddess since after Alexander before or is she somehow from the heroic age of Hercules?  Any ideas for original birth place?  From what you know from God senses, Monsters have had a marked increase in fertility, which has been both a bane and boon to you, more pegasi, but more monsters eating horses.  The other thing you would know is that the Ptolemies have declared war on the Selucids, you know this due to a battle that they recently fought near Sidon

Now that you mention it I wanted Egua to be more of a new goddess discovering the world and carving a place for herself in it than somebody who goes "Back in my day blah blah blah and we liked it!" Some 20-30 years old.

As for place of birth, would Ithaca be ok? Island so Poseidon's influence would be strong, and Odysseus always seemed to know quite a bit about horses.

Agamemnon knows that something sinister has been happening with Sparta, a new shrine has been built to Isis.  That the oaths during the agoge have been changed to include service to Sparta forever (Come home with this sheild or upon it indeed).  Spartan mercenaries have been leaving Sparta in greater numbers saying something is wrong but all field reports say that that Archidamus IV retinue of Spartans is clearly larger than what would be practical to risk. Your history doesn't state why he is leaving Crete; I realize I just gave you more of a reason to stay.  I was considering you might have made arrangements to be magically contacted with accurate numbers and information about the battle after it happens?  Willing to work on other ideas.

Xantcha was the same class or a differing one? I'm assuming that the one petitioning you is still a mystery or is there someone you had in mind?  Hounds on a ship, the darkness involved?  I'd like to do a name for that ship as well for reasons.  Your HP seems high; I'm getting 10 starting+ 24 Cha+ and 35 levels=69

You are also very old you'd notice that the constellations had changed which is not that surprising; what concerns you is some of the constellations are missing

I do believe Xantcha was indeed the same class as I couldn't really picture the 'caster type' classes as using what basically amounts to a buster sword.

The one petitioning me can still be a mystery. They just need some kind of connection to Light hence why my first thoughts were Apollo and Artemis (especially since a bow is my primary weapon).

HP.........your math is correct, mine is off by 12 then somehow....2 per level....how'd that happen?

Ship name.......The Hesperos? If translator was right then it means Evening. Which seems a bit fitting.

As for the Darkness and the Hounds,  Wherever there is a champion of Light, forces of darkness are sure to bar their way.  Hadn't put too much thought into it.  Perhaps a twisted version of the hunting hounds which devoured their master Acteon after Artemis transformed him into a stag for seeing her bathing? Aside from that I can only really think of some generic Percy Jackson type hellhounds.

I changed Andras' point spread a little to bring it up to 6. I'm still not happy about the spread, but I desperately need the skill points from the high intelligence. If I could figure out how to get adamantine plating and not suffer spell failure, I would and then just dump dex instead. I've looked at things a bunch of ways, but in order to make a skill focused character who is half decent in melee, I couldn't figure out a way to push wis any higher without starting over and using something besides duskblade to get better skills or less melee focused to help with MAD. If something happens to this character, I will likely build another Warforged artificer and just use another class. If Daedalus created one, he could have created many.

5. 9 ranks, +5 +6 charisma, +2 circumstantial, +30 unnamed from glibness = +47. Strictly for lying rather than everything such as feinting/diversions/innuendo, per Epic Rules Bluff can be used as Suggestion but creatures get a +50 bonus to their Sense Motive, so essentially I traded actual access to Suggestion for Glibness & Guidance of the Avatar coming together to pretty much do the same thing. Downside I'm pretty dependent on using GotA a lot so I hope you're not too cruel on those no resting Encounters, the upside is if I said "Odin" translates into "Zeus" everyone who doesn't speak Nordic to prove me wrong believes it anyway.

Actually, at +47 even those that can speak Nordic probably believes it anyway too.

So right now I'm at the point of trying to pick a discipline. Several have good discipline exclusive powers, and I already have all skills as class skills so that aspect doesn't affect me.

If I go shaper I could heal the Warforged though I don't expect that to be a huge deal. Having an Astral Construct around in addition to my psicrystal would be decent to fit the whole debate aspect of my philosopher, though though it doesn't last long enough for that to come up either.

Seer or whilst might fit just as well.

By the time he finished his training and succeeded in becoming a full Spartan citizen through the Agoge, the Spartan King Archidamus IV lost against Demetrius Poliorcetes of Macedonia. This was Agamemnon's last straw. He left Sparta, abandoned everything he had built until then and went to Crete, to start over and live however he wanted.

I meant to use Sparta losing yet another battle as the reason Agamemnon lost faith in the weak government. And even if there's a law stating that a spartan must stay forever in the army he will abandon the army regardless.

I can add this rising cult to Isis in my background as well.

I almost exclusively have played shapers and egoists. Shapers are great for playing GOD and egoists are great at self buffing for melee.

As far as healing Andras(the Warforged), I've planned to do most of his own healing using either craft checks or artificer infusions, but it would be nice if someone was able to heal him if he can't himself.

Eeerr, the ancient greeks were the first using crossbows in Europe as far back as 5 BC The game is taking place after Alexander kicked the dirt, aka thirty years after 323 BC, aka 293 BC. That's over a couple of centuries crossbows being around when the game starts.

That's why you left Sparta and a good reason to leave Crete but it might also be a great reason to stay in Knossos and fight the spartan king.  The party is leaving Crete.

Oslecamo just schooled me about crossbows, I'm kinda sad that is in a spoiler, I feel like I'm getting more schooled in history and myth as I do this, which is fun.  Oslecamo you are good to go.

If something doesn't work out we can also do changes later.  Incarnum might do a skillful warrior? It's pretty easy to fluff soulmelds as enhanced items.  Amechra had a few feats for it somewhere.

So totally forgot to tell you some information based on Egypt.  Serapis is the head god of the Egyptian pantheon, and according to your research, He was totally made up with powers from both Greek and Egyptian gods.  This might not seem significant given your character's beliefs, but he also totally exists as in your character has seen the god behind Ptolemy as he gave a speech at the Library of Alexander.  (interestingly this plot hook is based on some evidence that Ptolemy actually did just make his own deity to be head of the Egyptian pantheon.)

Probably a cross between it all.

The Norse/Greek/Roman Gods all pretty much have mortal/immortal traits. Like in death they can be emtombed or chained to a rock and tortured, etc. Over in the Egyptian souls have parts, the Ka, Ba, and Akh. So it seems when a God kills another he probably takes part of the soul and thus the Deities are a great game of mix and match. Ragnorok happened and in the shuffle the Norse deities became the Greeks and so on.

Works for me if it works for you.

I am going with the party for now toward whatever is our destination. The current Sparta is not worth the effort for Agamemnon.

Will probably go Shaper then, but I'll make a decision soon. (This is the first psionic character I've made.)

As for the history, I'll have that up soon too. Bion will mostly be out seeking new forms of knowledge and points of view to expand his philosophical repertoire. Furthermore, he'd be out attempting to teach others the wisdom and skills he's learned, as he is in his period of classical sophism, traveling through Greece teaching philosophy. I'll write up the specifics soon.
