I am now an Uncle.

My nephew Lucas was born 3 hours ago at a healthy 7 lbs and 6 oz.

Congrats and have fun.  I've enjoyed being an uncle over the past couple of years.

Sadly, I live across the pond from my sister; I won't be that active of an uncle, sadly.

fwiw, I live closer, but still 1000 miles from my niece and sister.  Skype and FaceTime (especially, since my niece then carries the phone around) are pretty nice tools for this purpose, especially a couple of years down the road.  It's non-ideal, of course, but it's something.

Congrats.
Start planning on what to tell her about your Avatar, now.
 ;)

Last time I saw my Niece she was 15 months and
just into the Stranger Danger stage.  No big deal.
Not much uncle Awakey time.  Still cute as all get out.

Lucas is a boy, guys.

He, not she (until he's old enough to say otherwise  :P)
