I snap out of my meat-reverie. "Another maze?"
“Hast thou not felt in forest gloom, as gloaming falls on dark-some dells, when comes a whisper, hum and hiss; savage growling sounds a-near, dazzling flashes around thee flicker, whirring waxes and fills thine ears: has thou not felt then grisly horrors that grip thee and hold thee?”

Goldie: Hm, oh, yeah, one of the later ones.

My eyes narrow. "Later? Than this maze?"

The more important detail sinks in. "Wait, you can travel between these gate-worlds?"

Goldie: Um, not exactly?
Goldie: It's kind of complicated.  Medusa'd probably know...
Goldie: Um, anyway, once you made this place, I couldn't really leave it.
Goldie: But before then, it's a bit more free?
Goldie: Well, even though it is we don't usually go elsewhere.
Goldie: There's timing and... you know, stuff.

"No, I don't know. I don't know anything."

"Anyone think they can help me with this door?" Cory asks, getting mildly frustrated.
"You think you're the puppet-master, but I can see the strings."

Becca
Goldie: Ah, haha, yeah, I can understand that...
Goldie: Um, I'm not as good at this sort of thing as Medusa, but, um, you can ask me any questions you have.
Goldie: Um, I'll try to answer as best as I can...

Cory
Goldie: Oh, um, here.

She reaches forward and opens the door.  You don't notice anything change in the wall, but you do feel a gap and a cold breeze.

"Medusa? The snaky woman with the hair?"

"No, Becca, she doesn't have hair."  Cory waves a hand through the gap.

Becca
Goldie: Err, sort of.  Her hair isn't snaky but she can turn people into stone.
Goldie: She knows a lot.  Like, a lot a lot.  You'll meet her in the next Maze, definitely.

Cory
It's fairly cold on the other side.  And a bit damp?

My brow furrows. "Really? I could have sworn there was something about her hair...but, she can turn people to stone? That's...quite the feat."

Goldie: Yeah, with her eyes.  So she usually keeps them covered over.
Goldie: She looks scary, but she's actually really nice.

"She has snakes instead," Cory continues, then sticks his head through and tries to see what's on the other side.

I stop short. "Wait, snakes instead of eyes? What the actual fuck!"

Cory
You poke your head through the wall and find yourself in a dark, snowy forest.  It's night out, and the moon is full.  You can see the building you're in continue on.  There also seem to be other wooden buildings in the area, but you can't see very far.

Becca
Goldie: No, no, regular hair and normal eyes.  Err, I think normal eyes.  I haven't actually seen them since, well, they turn people to stone.
Goldie: And I'm not stone, so... yeah.

"So, what you're saying is that they could be snakes?"

"Uh," says Cory.  "I think we hit Narnia."

Goldie: Very... small snakes, I guess?  She wears a blindfold, so any snakes would have to fit behind that.

"There are very small snakes in the world. You'd be surprised." I turn to Cory. "Narnia? With the...horny goat man, and all that stuff?"
