I have no one to drink with in St. Patrick's day.

Neither do I!  Non-drinking buddies!  Let's celebrate by unsealing an ancient evil!

Never drank ginger ale. If i see it, i'll buy it and try your combination.

not good *hug*

ginger ale can be a polarizing flavor.... nothing near like licorice, maybe do just a 20 oz, or a super cheap 2 liter (if you have that there)

I was drinking Guinness yesterday. And today. Now, even. Celebrating St Patrick's with Dutch beer? Tragic (even if Guinness was originally made in London, of all places).

Panicking in a computer lab on Monday: now I have to talk to the course co-ordinator tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn't turn into asking why I haven't shown up to lectures that I can just watch again, and where the main reason to actually be there in person (ask questions if you don't get it) doesn't apply because I still find this stuff trivially easy.

We use what we have, man... ;(

Even though i'd love me some Irish Stout... Even now.

I prefer unfiltered, richly flavorful beer, but cheap Pilsner is what i can get in a pinch. The other types of beer are usually what a fresh-out-of-college unemployed grad student such as myself can afford. I can't really get drunk on the stuff i like the best, otherwise, i'd be doing it.

Plus, it's not so bad once you realy get used to it. The upside to the light, filtered Pilsner, is that you can't really go wrong with it. You can drink it alongside any kind of food and don't feel that it's really out of place. And, you can drink heaps of it without getting sick of it, too.

Though, yeah, i like my cloudy, rich, unfiltered Weiss, as well as my dark, sweet & sour Stout, and also my IPA's, when i can get my hands on them. And some Trappist beer, for the occasional splurge (that shit is expensive).

And that just equates to me as 'things I hate the taste of'.

Britain's a good place for beer.

From my semi-limited experience  w beer, I only like the light stuff. overall, I prefer mixed drinks and hard ciders.

I like finding unusual drinks to try, like the Darth Vader, etc. I wanna try some sort of Yoda drink

Found a pineapple hard cider that was one of my favorites.

'Hard cider' is just cider here. Apples only.

... well, someone decided to rebrand perry as pear cider at some point, but 'cider' is otherwise sufficient.

I got the mental image of Pelor the Burning Hate, or specifically the mask/face from your icon, levitating Darth Vader's head over which had the top cut open and it was full of alcohol.  And... and... I can't get it out of my head!  AEEEIIII!!!!!
Mudada.

All hail the God of Skin Cancer!

There's normal cider and hard cider here. Both are made from fruit, I guess they just let the hard stuff ferment longer.

Yeah, I've had the pear cider, this brand wasn't very good, but their pineapple cider was great.

I learned how to make applejack once when i worked at a beer and wine distributor.  Not difficult but since it isn't distilled you take your chances drinking the stuff.

We also sold 32 dollar beers to golf courses.  Seriously
