[You were unaware against that first attack but I'll let you use that parry for this round] As you lash out against the horrid little creature that harmed you it claws at your arm but misses as you put it off balance with your swing, the one on your left attempts again at your head which you parry with your power sword. The third cherub moves toward you but does not reach. [Please Proceed with your action for this round]

You wild swings fail to connect, as do the creatures, they rage and fury and swing wildly. Frothing at the mouth they hold their heads in their clawed hands.

One of the creature spills black fluid and falls before you, the other 2 screech at you biting with needle-like fangs. [2 damage as one bites your neck]

As the cherub bites at your neck it catches your blade instead you sever its scalp from the rest of it's body it lands in a puddle of flesh as the last cherub flies away its bloated carcass bobbing up and down in the dry wind.

If I can, I'd like to draw my laspistol (one second) aim for one second, then fire on the third giving it two more rounds of flying at whatever speed.

Rolled 3d6 : 1, 2, 2, total 5

All 10 shots from your pistol connect, you shots seem to juggle the mangled corpse not letting it touch ground till you stop firing. Total damage 54 after accounting for it being past the half range of your weapon.

After which, he'll kick around the cherubs and look for any marking of allegiance. If he's hungry he'll eat one.

The Cherubs have no distinctive markings, they seem to have been out here for a long while, in the distance you see the gardens of the Temple of Lies.

You crest the last hill and finally see the Temple of Lies. A vast field of wreckage and rubble stretches out before you, many square kilometers across. In the center of the field, dug deep into the ground, is a star ship. Long ago, a titanic void ship crashed into Kymerus’ surface. The impact broke the vessel, though it was not destroyed entirely, leaving the monolithic ruins amidst a vast plain of debris. You can see that in the centuries since, someone has built on the vessel, adding double doors in the side so large that you can make them out from several miles away. You can also just make out the tiny shapes of Screamers of Tzeentch, daemonic flyers circling around the Temple. Some even appear to be pulling disk shaped chariots through the air.

[H'oh boy]

I guess i'll keep proceeding forward throughout the gardens, keeping an eye out for any more hostiles that might try to get the drop on me.

[Yes all the players got invite]

You see the metal gates that surround the temple along with the guards, they are about 25 feet high topped with jagged spikes. You see 6 Inevitable Guards patrolling the area.

The Inevitable Guards are imposing individuals, their faces entirely enclosed in eyeless helms. When they speak, their voices always sound like they’re coming from behind the subject they are speaking to. They carry two-handed glaives encrusted with strange runes and crackling circuitry and large-bore pistols strapped to their hips.

They keep careful watch over the grounds.

I suppose I'll approach out in the open, keeping my weapons lowered to indicate i'm not looking for a challenge. I'll shout out when I am in speaking range:

"The Oracle has requested an audience with me"

One of the guards approaches and reads your invite, he tells you that many others that received a similar invitation were let inside many hours ago and that if you wish to meet the oracle you had best hurry inside.

To your left you see the perservatory, guarded by 2 Inevitable Guards. You suspect you would have better luck waiting till nightfall to get the sample you need, when the guard's numbers are reduced.

Yep seems sensible. I head inside to speak to the Oracle. How big is the room containing the sample and what else is surrounding it?
