Reach for the Sky!
« on: August 30, 2014, 12:25:07 AM »
Morning has broken.  The noctowl have long since gone to sleep, only the most studious day-owls staying up to draw the mid-day shades.  Unfortunately, no such noctowl exists in your room.  The light sears in from the window, striking all five of you (and all four eyes of felix and Xavier(and all three separate species on the bed(and both the human girls in both their eyes a piece( and somehow covering all one humano-poke-pile(or is it a heap?))))).

You may all make the higher of wisdom or intelligence rolls.

“Hast thou not felt in forest gloom, as gloaming falls on dark-some dells, when comes a whisper, hum and hiss; savage growling sounds a-near, dazzling flashes around thee flicker, whirring waxes and fills thine ears: has thou not felt then grisly horrors that grip thee and hold thee?”

Yes.  That is the sun.  After a sleep that felt like 3 months, it's nice to wake up to such a wonderful feeling on your skin again.  the plush body beneath you is much more comfortable than even the nice bed of straw and leaves that Pearl made for you.  That, with the body heat of the small pokemon resting on you made for a comfortable night.

Sun.  yes.  the fiery orb in the sky.  Full of fire and light.  While the bed beneath beatrice was soft and heavenly, the weight of Period and Victini were a little too much to topple over in a way that ensured their safety.  You are awake, but pinned.

You both had a restful night.

I yawn hugely and snuggle Victini. " 'es," I mumble sleepily, fighting the temptation to bury my head under the blankets.

Period hops of the heap and pulls Beatrice upright.

Period: Come on!  Lets go get breakfast!

I stumble out of bed in my pajamas. "Sleepy, but also hungry," I mumble as I tromp my way to the door.

The door stands before you.  An impressive wooden structure.  If you had picked up an HM01, you would be able to make quick work of the door...  but since you have not, the knob will have to suffice.

The door opens without so much as a squeak.  You smell delicous aromas of egg coming from downstairs.

Period takes the descend the stairs action, pulling Beatrice along with her (in a safe way).

I murmur sleepily as I am pulled down the stairs, but the delicious aroma of food begins to rouse me.

The carpet pads your footsteps and you hear a door open nearby.  A glance reveals the familiar figure of a tired looking business man with a suitcase handcuffed to his wrist.  He raises an eyebrow and a hand in a waving motion.

I wave sleepily, continuing on until my brain actually processes who I just saw.

"Wait," I mumble.

Turning again, I look at him blearily. "What are you doing here?"

Period: You didn't sleep well?

Period: Remember, the twins said there was another guest!

I look at Period, then back at the man, then back at Period.

"So, this isn't his house?" I confirm.

"Err... no, it's not my house.  I was asking for directions and they invited me to stay the night."  He says, confusedly.  "Did they do the same to you?"

He doesn't directly answer your question, period, but his general appearance looks like he could use some of those pick-me-up beans that coco would occasionally find.

Period: Yeah!  We know where we're going, though!
Period: But Beatrice wanted to sleep inside.

"Beds are nice~" I mumble in a combination of sleepiness and embarrassment.
