I'm aware of the occasional rumblings that desire bloodlines to count again ECL. I will say that I do understand the positions (there are two) fully, and they come down to preference (as I admit mine at a certain point does too), so they don't have much bearing on this discussion.

Other than that I'm all ears.

Are you going to port your old handbook or start from scratch?

Explaining both interpretations might be helpful in reducing grumblings; even if it's just a paragraph at the end about the more broken version.
