I saw a mention of group buffs. As a reminder, Rao and Yurgret have fast healing 1 from MLV.

That's all I've contributed. Sorry I haven't been posting. Insanely busy at work with a new position.

Well if Flay_Crimsonwind doesn't post until tomorrow, Rao the dragon will just burrow and I'll update the turn.

Great job guys.

One of the things I liked about the Mindstealer's Change Shape ability is you keep your own hit dice while gaining the special attacks of the form; so poison attacks and such get the benefit of scaling as you level.  Combine that with the Psychic Combine ability with a form that has a large Con, and the DC goes up even further.
The next thing I say to you will be true.
The last thing I said was false.

Thanks for the detail Oslecamo.  I have a question regarding absorbed spellcasting:  I realize that 8 hours of rest are required to fill spell slots, but how much does Tenth need to stay in the form in question to cast them?  I'll elaborate:

Does he need to sleep the 8 hours in Cleric form to cast Cleric Spells?
Does he need to be in Cleric form to cast Cleric spells?
Can he change forms and back and still cast (begin the day as a Cleric, change to a Troll, change back to a Cleric and cast)?

Thanks in advance.  This is probably obvious to everyone else.

Divine spellcasters don't normally require rest at all to refill spell slots. Clerics can only pray for spells at a certain time of the day, which is normally set by their deity.

Grimtooth has an alchemical item that he could use to move around in the city during daylight (Liquid Night from Libris Mortis) without a giant cloud of darkness around him. I think he could put that on, then use Change Self (from his weapon) to make it appear that he is a human, and at the same time hide the Liquid Night.

So I'll say he's been trying to work on a way to get his "friends" into the city so they can attack it from inside. I'll post and roll some things in the game in a bit.

I actually think the Liquid Night is just too cheesy to even use... I mean, come on? Sunblock is enough to keep a vampire from bursting into flames in daylight?  :lol So... will it be getting dark before these guys get back to the city to assault it?

I'll try to stick to my own RAW here for now, so:
-He needs to rest 8 hours to gain the spell slots regardless of how the original caster recovered them.
-He can combine spellcasting with another form.
-Each 8 hour period rest is only good for one shape. If you change, you need another 8 hour rest period.

Got a test tommorrow, so any other issues will have to wait until then!

Yeah, I think I'll have to ban Liquid Night for being too easy of an ability to negate the vampire's main weakness.

As for geting dark, well, it depends on how much time they. Right now is around mid day, and they would take a couple of hours to reach the city if they don't bother with stealth and the faster ones carry the slower ones. Four hours if going stealth while faster ones carry the others, and they would arrive only by night if the goblins tagged along. Altough I guess you could find some way to contact your allies and tell them to wait.

I did some basic math and figured I could probably reach 10 miles in about 40 minutes, assuming I need to slow down every so often between running. If I didn't have to slow down it would be considerably less. Plus I can travel in a straight line underground if need-be.

Still, doesn't solve the problem of getting everyone to the town/village/city/fortress in order to start an attack.

I don't think Grimtooth has many options for contacting his allies, other than traveling to them himself. So I'll just wait till they return to the city, I guess. Or we could say that Queenie and I were waiting outside the city somewhere (underground?), and my character has just been hiding from the daylight, and Queenie's gone into a slumber, like Tarrasques are supposed to do for months at a time...

"Usual" D&D cosmology, but planar travel is kinda risky and unstable, and thus the gods end up playing a less active role. You can pray to them and they do grant spells and perform the ocasional miracle, but outsiders are pretty rare stuff.

Also if no one else noticed in the recruiting subforum, Bhu and Sirpercival are planning to join this campaign to replace our two lost players.
