Nevus rolls his eyes so hard that one of them pops out of the socket and says "Oh great... it's you!" as he shoves his eyeball back in. "I'd hoped we'd left you behind... And don't even think about setting me on fire again!"

Ahead of them lay little more than a long tunnel, wide enough in places for two to walk abreast, but mostly proportioned for one at a time. The floor was pockmarked with little dents and rivulets, perhaps the work of water over time, perhaps something else, while the walls and ceiling had little dents here and there, some wider than others, but nothing unusual compared to the tunnels through which they had ventured.

If the skeletal creature was correct, this was the passage down which his compatriots needed to march. Certainly, after the fuss that had occurred when they climbed up the chimney, there was little desire to head back the way they had come.

While marching ahead of the group, Tarkus places his bony hand on the walls and tries to recall anything about these marks on the walls.

Bored with the monotony of the tunnel, Nevus begins scraping the blade of his polearm along the wall as he walks.

"Are we looking for some action now, Nevus? I want to cover as much ground as possible before having to meet anything from this place. Perhaps Bruto can entertain you? I heard he said you couldn't win against him even if you managed to become two..."

Before the orc zombie can start breaking his bones and cutting through the bloodhulk, Tarkus completes with "... Of course that's a lie. Now control yourself... Soon you will be able to do what you like best." in a very composed tone.

The tunnel continues on, widening slightly.  The dents and pockmarks become slightly more pronounced as time goes on, and as they move around a bend in the tunnel the vanguard of the group can't help but notice something that breaks the monotony.  In the ceiling up ahead indentations much larger than what they've seen so far, they appear to be between two and three feet across.

Nevus starts to respond with "Why you meatless bastard! I could kick that fat tick's backside..." then pauses and says "Oh... something big must have done that."

Phaeros frowns at the indentations, and sighs. "Something doesn't seem right..." he murmurs, looking up at the indentations. [Spot, 29. NATURAL 20! WHOOO!]

Glenlairwen motions for her coffin to be put on the ground, then moves forward to get a better view... even if this does mostly mean being inside a wall.

Getting closer, Bruto and Phaeros notice that the closest large indentation is more than that, it is a hole leading up to another, smaller, tunnel.  One small enough that only Arcus would be able to fit in it although the rest of the group could squeeze in if they had to.  They also notice that the next closest indentation seems to be the same and thus most likely connects to that same tunnel.

Nevus drops his polearm, which makes a loud clanging sound, and scales the wall up to the nearest hole, then sticks his head through it to look around in the new tunnel.

As the zombie sticks his head into the hole, a scuffling sound is heard.

"Is everything alright, Nevus? What did you find up there?" Tarkus asks calmly while gripping his bow, ready to shoot.

Not our job to search every nook and cranny. Should keep advancing, smash whatever's in our way.

Says Bruto in a neutral tone as he moves towards the next nearest clear indentation and prepares to smash anything to come out of it.

Nevus says loudly from within the tunnel "Oh, you want to play you little bastard? I'm going to rip your head off and eat your brain!"

The ghost, already hidden in the wall, opted to also see what the hell was going on.

This meant going straight up. Probably.
