1. yes. Shifting back and forth is honestly more problematic re: witnesses, I think.

2. No murdering random girls.

I'm not even slightly interested in killing random girls. Where are you remotely getting that impression.

No need to kill them. Just put the fear of God angels into them.
Hmm.

See, I don't think that works with the crazy fanatic using a mace for corporal punishment and growing dragon scales. Just a hunch.

Your knowledges don't tell you anything about the scales (for that you would need Knowledge (arcane)), but about the relic: St. Haralamb is a faux saint employed by the Archdevil Menoch as a guise:
Quote
Menoch – The Apostate Minstrel
  • Inspires mortals to use religion to enrich or empower themselves at the expense of others
  • Portrayed as a young man or woman holding an ornate musical instrument
According to his false hagiography, St. Haralamb has first led out all the rats out of a small town in the Iron Principalities, and then all of the children to save them from a plague.
In fact, he has sold all of the sons to ogres as food, and all of the daughters to the Siyabid Caliphate as harem slaves.

Mist knows that the nun is on her road to turn into a dragonborn of the sin of Envy, strongly sprinkled with the sin of Hypocrisy.

From foolimg around with the holy symbol, Mist knows that the item grants additonal turning attempts per day, but only to followers of St. Haralamb / the Archdevil Menoch.

@Skyrock what exactly is happening with the nun right now?

And what of that are other PCs willing to let me tell the guard

(re: e.g. "The nun was corrupt and betrayed them" or something)

Whatever you end up doing with the nun.

Unless someone takes active steps to prevent you, you can tell them what you want.

Yes, but I'm trying OOC not to be *too* disruptive as the party token paladin-type. So I was asking the other PCs OOC if they had a narrative they prefered me to try and spin. Because "We attacked them out of hand" is a bad narrative. So we need something better! And I'd prefer not to decide that without any consideration of the other players.

"The scales on the nun were proof of her sins. She was obviously preparing the children for some kind of dark ritual.""
Hmm.

"Their guards got too boisterous and attracted the wrong sort of attention"? It's strictly true.

"They attracted unfortunate attention in [bad neighborhood], leading to the deaths of several guards, despite my best efforts to prevent such deaths. After the fight, it came out that the nun leading the girls was corrupt in [manner], explaining their unwise behavior."

How's that sound? Got a good phrasing for [manner]?

(I prevented deaths with nonlethal attacks, but it still counts!)

Anyone wanting to deal with the nun while the angel is gone?

And anyone calling dibs on the rest of the loot? Else I assume that Mist will pocket the potions and holy waters, as she was the last one to handle it, and distribute the junk armaments among Lobinha's followers to be sold later.

Should probably pursue the leads in geographical order.
Hmm.
