Arhosa Ascending [3.5]
« on: April 23, 2014, 07:50:03 PM »
Looking for a few players (2-4) interested in playing a campaign in Arhosa Campaign Setting. The campaign will be used to build a level 1-3 adventure path, as well as involving playtesting of homebrew material. If it goes beyond that, a 3-5 adventure path will result.
  • Desired Players: 2-4
  • Optimization: Moderate
  • Starting Level: 1
  • Rules Overview
  • Starting Location: Hania
The rest of the applicable content can be found through the Arhosa Campaign Setting link. If there are questions, about content, rules, or the like, please nag me, as I understand a large amount of homebrew can be difficult to handle at first glance.

P.S. - Nanshork, if you really want to play that Ritualist you've always wanted, now's your chance.  :P

Call this an incentive to hurry up. Plus, you only have to deal with the 1st level of the class for the campaign start.  :teach

I feel the call of Ancient Times...

:P

Kidding aside, I would be interested in trying out a Savage. :D

Yes, well, I have high hopes this doesn't turn out quite like those games. Being more reasonable in terms of scope should certainly help. I hope.  :bigeyes

And savage would be fine.

By the way, the planned campaign is to start in Hania.

I feel it too! :P

Not sure what class yet.

Edit: Maybe an Arcanist. I'm glad we're starting in Hania. I'd wanted to either start there, or travel there after the game started, after looking over the kingdoms.

I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

I want to join this...

...Unless my skellie in your other game happens to appear against this group. Then I will happily wait for such an opportunity  :P

No, they won't. They aren't really in the same Arhosa. This version has fairly different rules, and certainly very different classes and so on. So, just make sure to read the mass of custom content that's required before volunteering. :P

I actually might play a class that's a little more polished (and playing something I'm in the middle of helping you overhaul makes me feel a little cheesy).  I'll see what the others come up with before deciding.

Oh please, I know you're capable of being a reasonable player and developer at the same time. Plus, the Ritualist has the most polish of any of my custom classes allowed here, really. Only the PPF classes have been gone over close to as much.

Plus how long have you wanted to play one? :P

Damn it, why have you called a class an Arcanist? DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS IN NORMAL D&D TERMS? D<

No. :bash

But it's totally balanced! It's like a wizard with sorcerer casting, insanely scaling spells per day, and free versatile spell!

Are you trying to say that erudite is unbalanced too??

I think it actually works out about the same. Unlike StP Erudite, it doesn't have access to the full two lists. On the other hand, everything auto-scales with you, and metamagic is suuuuuper cheap. :lmao

Hey Strat, any chance of bumping the point-buy up to 32? It's the standard I usually see in the in-person games I've played in, and what I'm most used-to even in games that aren't high-op like a lot of PbP games tend to be. If not it's ok. Your rules link does say you could be convinced to move it from 28, so I figured I'd best try. :)

Venn, all you need is for the other players to vote with you. If they do, then yes.  :D

Might I dare ask when the Runecarver will be available?  :flutter
