I am mildly concerned the forest is an optional miniboss, but also just concerned that the game gets boring when the party is in five different spoilers and not really interacting in any way (or doing things which might shock me into actually taking action if I forget about this again, which I feel was part of why we had a dead period before)

Urgh. I don't feel like splitting the party is a great idea; I had assumed we were going to visit the woods together in the evening.

I guess we can use the evening action to go badger the Elders into helping us, then?

"Well, if you think they're important, I guess you can look at them yourself..."

Aval Shrugs Resignedly.

"Who wants to go to the common houses with me?"

"The old man at the smokehouse is tremendously unhelpful... " (Ulberto is old enough that doesn't sound stupid, right?)

Aval shrugs.

"Can't say I have much to say on the matter."

I think having us all in one place doing one thing will speed things up.

(also, I missed any notifications; it's sheer chance I checked this today)

I haven't posted actions for the turn, because, a. I was waiting for my aoo to be resolved

Aoo hit but they're still standing.

Cool! I'll post something in the game-thread tomorrow morning.

I haven't posted actions for the turn, because, a. I was waiting for my aoo to be resolved, and b. I thought that this was dead.

The text seems to simple imply that it is a lave-fluffed aoe damage over time effect, not actually invoking lava rules in any way?

Since it has precisly defined what the effects for remaining within the lava are, doesn't refer out of the text.

I suppose a fair way to look at it would to say the lava is only a few inches deep?

Ah, my mistake. Seems more reasonable, that.

12
That's conditional on this still being a thing, no?

Well, was, I guess.

13
Hey, is this still a thing?

Hmm. Factotum:

Major:

Inspiration: Gain inspiration, as Factotum, and all of the factotum abilities with the word cunning in them at appropriate levels.

Arcane Dilettante: As Factotum. If you don't have any inspiration, this ability doesn't cost any to use.

Minor

Opportunistic Piety: As Factotum Class ability.

I'll admit I'm too lazy to write out all of the text of these abilities.

On a balance side of things, I'm not sure that wild shape is a minor ability, or that favoured enemy is a major one. I'd put those two the other way around.

Oh yeah, I think that's a fair assessment, though I haven't played 3e.

5e has a simpler char-gen system, though?

Hey guys, remember the jaguar I mentioned a while back? I ran into it again.

Why did you run into a car again:P

I didn't have the context, so I legitimately thought Kuro ran into a large predatory feline and didn't even question it.

I still don't have context, and am still not convinced that there isn't a large predatory feline involved somewhere.
