Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / Symbiote Suit?
« on: June 07, 2020, 06:11:06 AM »
Years back someone was making a symbiote suite monster class, but I can't seem to find it.  Has there been any progress on it, or was it deleted?  I'm asking because I just saw an idea on Quora that made me shout explicatives (that's how awesome/horrifying it was):  Predator in a Venom suit and a Xenomorph in a Carnage suit.  If the class is complete, I was considering testing it out and letting people know how it goes (I play 3.5e, and my world is an "anything goes" or "Wreck It Ralph" style world).

Gaming Advice / Please, don't squeeze the Shaman!
« on: July 27, 2019, 02:23:33 PM »
I am making a Wisdom heavy character for 3.5e, homebrew is allowed.  Starting off as level 5 (Ranger, Scout, Shaman, Spirit Shaman, and Adaptive Hunter.  Any ideas for feats that can help me with a Wisdom heavy character (Wis 19), like Wisdom in attack or defense or anything else you can think of?

Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / Half Elven Races
« on: June 02, 2019, 05:33:54 PM »
Disclaimer I am interested in 3.5E Homebrew.

That being said I've noticed there is a Half Elf race in the PHB, and I have a rulebook for some Half Elven offspring from the core races, but what about those of us who want to be Half-one-race-of elf half-another?  Like half Drow half Wood Elf, is one example.

Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / Deity sheet
« on: March 17, 2019, 01:43:38 PM »
Who here is good at designing character sheets and such?  I could use something designed for deities so that when I need to make a new deity (or the players don't like what I have so they can design their own).  I need it to have:
Holy Symbol

What do you think?  Is it doable?  Any comments, questions, songs, or dances?

Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / Like a Rhinestone Cowboy!
« on: March 12, 2019, 09:15:04 PM »
So I have this NPC in my campaign,  He's a Shardmind Farmer 2/Ranger 1/Druid 1.  He uses a revolver made out of Deep Crystal, and he mainly travels the desert to make sure that the natural law of the desert is upheld and occasionally does side jobs rounding up wanted criminals (like a lawman for hire)(LN).  I just can't figure out what kind of companion he should have.  Anyone got any ideas?

Off Topic Fun / Petition for a game
« on: October 02, 2018, 03:39:58 PM » I made a petition for putting The Elderscrolls III - Morrowind on the current generation consoles.  I was wondering if anyone would be interested is signing it and/or sharing it so I could get it rolling.  Anyone interested?

General D&D Discussion / New caretaker for the PCs
« on: September 29, 2018, 02:41:08 PM »
So I retired an NPC today, a bat pony by the name of Blade Tongue.  I used her in my world's first campaign and she was 27.  On the second campaign she was 57 and on the third campaign she was 102.  I had her pass away in her sleep at 104, but now the manor that the party is staying at needs a new caretaker.  My campaign is 3.5e and I am needing a replacement NPC.  They need to be level 12, of which 2 are of either the Mom or Dad character class (can be found in Drivethru RPG for free).  I am using the 32 point system, they can have a max of 4 flaws, full HD first 2 levels (3/4 afterwards), must not be evil, and homebrew is VERY encouraged.  Just no LA above 5.  Do you guys think you can help me?

General D&D Discussion / Pantheon for my campaign.
« on: August 04, 2018, 02:41:20 PM »
In my campaigns I run (3.5 before anyone asks),  instead of having one overdeity in charge of a group of deities, I have a council of deities (think a senate).  I already have the council made, but I would like some ideas for some deities who aren't part of the council.  My world has been referred to as a "Wreck it Ralph" style world, so just about anything goes.  Any ideas?

Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / Fallen Water Goddess
« on: May 19, 2018, 10:29:52 PM »
I have finally got my wife to decide on what she wants to be for a campaign I am running: a fallen elemental water goddess.  Now I have already found the half elemental template and was going to use that for her, but there were a few other things I wanted her to be able to do (not immediately, just as she levels up).  I wanted her to be able to assume liquid form and slide under a door crack, maybe take mist form, she can heal in water, and her to be VERY dependent on water (deserts are very bad for her).  The fatal flaw is for kind of for motivation on getting her divinity back.  So what do you think?  Is there a template that can be make/is already made?  Ideas?  Thoughts?  Songs or dances?

Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / Wookie Farmer
« on: May 05, 2018, 10:59:30 PM »
I am currently trying to run a campaign for my 9 year old son (his first D&D campaign).  The one of the npcs is a Wookie farmer and I would like for his animal companion to be a chocobo  Is there any way to level it down so I can use it in the campaign?

Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / Polynesian Pantheon
« on: March 08, 2017, 12:57:55 AM »
I was curious if anyone was interested in making deity stats for the Polynesian gods.  The Dragon Magazine did something similar a long time agoand I would like to sea an updated version.  Looking for 3.5e, any takers?

Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / New Domains
« on: February 20, 2017, 11:34:57 PM »
Before this is asked, it's for 3.5e.  I am needing some new domains and was wondering if there would be any takers.  I will list the domain I am requesting and credit whomever makes it, this thread is to be updated as necessary.

(Desired) Domains:

Redemption by Eiji

Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / Elderscrolls Races for 3.5e
« on: November 22, 2016, 10:57:37 PM »
I am planning on letting the Elderscrolls races be an option for one of my campaigns, yet surprisingly no one has made them yet.  I am going for a level adjust of 1 (or a humanoid HD).  Any takers?

Putting notes here

Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / Futurama
« on: September 14, 2016, 01:10:58 AM »
I know the makers of Futurama were fans of D&D, but surprisingly almost NO races have been made?  I hope to find some people and together we can fix this situation.  (3.5e please) Here's a list of races that would be interesting to play:

Decapodian (no info on the author)

Morbo's species (no official name)

Native Martian

Neutral - created by Garryl

Slug Worm

I will add links to the pages and credit authors as they appear.

Homebrew and House Rules (D&D) / New Devices
« on: July 21, 2015, 11:00:52 PM »
This is 3.5e before anyone asks, but I need to make a device for some elite military (level 10) can use for missions and communication with one another.

  • It needs to take over the eye slot
  • Automatically conforms with other armor (not a big deal)
  • Needs to be mask-like in design (think Predator mask)
  • needs a tracking function (+3 to all attack rolls)
  • Needs a scouter function
  • can be upgraded
  • can provide breathing air for wearer
  • can communicate with similar objects (functions like a headset)

Is 30,000gp too little of a starting price?  If so, can you make it so it can be upgraded to that point?
Pretty please and thank you!

General D&D Discussion / Jurassic Park & World
« on: June 23, 2015, 10:52:03 PM »
Okay, the Velociraptors in the Jurassic Series have MUCH more intelligence than the standard "2" of all animals.  Also I would LOVE to have the stats of the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World  (that thing  I would love to have these stats available soon, so I am calling upon the help of anyone and everyone.  Ummm...the Raptor will PROBABLY be similar to the Deinonychus in the Monster Manual in size...but that's about it.  Remember, these are Genetically Engineered creatures.  The Indominus is probably this size of the T-Rex in Monster Manual (Said at full size to be about 50 ft long).  Pretty please?  I am doing this for a boss battle in my campaign I am running from home.

General D&D Discussion / Powerful NPCs
« on: June 23, 2015, 02:34:51 AM »
What is the most powerful antagonizing NPC you have ever made?

For me it was a construct girl by the name of InZe (Infinite Zero).  On top of the fact that she had a +5 level adjust, she had 1,000 (yes you saw that right) character levels and insane amount of divine ranks (she was never meant to be directly fought, but there are some people I game with that feel that they MUST fight the bad guy).  In InZe's defense, she isn't really a bad person, she is more like Chaotic Neutral with Chaotic tendencies.  Also VERY insane, she was created from the destruction of entire universe.  Her personalities are all but uncountable and you can see her cycle throught the personalites by watching her eyes. Looks similar to this but not exactly the same.  I guess you could say she was an entire universe in human(iod) form.  Eventually I abandoned the character as I gave up on the campaign (I realized I would have to HEAVILY railroad the campaign, and that is fun for no one).  I can discuss more on this topic if you want, but I'd also like to hear what you guys have made in your campaigns.
