« on: August 27, 2015, 01:55:40 AM »
Hi Everyone,

Is their a handbook for Artisan Class? Has anyone played one or have any suggestions on how to optimized one? I'm still trying to decide on playing a gnome, half elf, and human. I will be starting off at 1st level. We will be using a 25 point buy for attributes.

D&D 5e / Ninja (Rogue/Monk Build)
« on: January 30, 2015, 02:40:52 PM »
Hi All,

I’m getting ready to join a D&D 5th edition campaign loosely base on Forgotten Realms. I’m coming in at 2nd level. Stats will be a 35 point-buy; the DM expanded the stat cost: 16 – 11 points, 17 – 13 points, and 18 – 15 points. I will be doing a rogue/monk, going with the assassin and way of the shadow paths. I have read through numerous web pages on doing a ninja like build. I’m still trying to decide on the standard human (no variant) or half elf with the urchin background.  I was wondering which of the following you would suggest:

Monk – 06 / Rogue – 14
Monk – 14 / Rogue – 06

Dropping Warlock after finding 2 other party members are doing warlock. I will just focus on being a rogue/monk. DM has told me that I will be getting the devil's sight down the road as part of the monk order I belong to.

I will be starting off with rogue 1st and then monk for the 2nd level.

Thanks,
Valen

Other Party Members:
Eladrin Rogue (Arcane Trickster)
Half Elf Barbarian (Path of the Totem Warrior – Bear)
Half Elf Warlock (Archfey)
Human Druid (Circle of the Land)
Human Paladin (Oath of the Ancients)
Human Ranger (Hunter)
Tiefling Fighter/Warlock (Great Old One)

Min/Max 3.x / Healer Build for a New Campaign
« on: March 29, 2014, 02:53:23 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I’m getting ready to join a new D&D 3.5 campaign in a couple of weeks. I will be playing a Healer from the Miniatures Handbook. The only divine classes the DM is allowing are Favored Soul and Healer. We will be starting at 1st level. I will either play a human or less Aasimar. For stats, I can have one 18 in one stat and an 8 in another. I have 52 points to split between the 4 remaining stats that will range from 10-16. Then I can add racial adjustments. All characters will start off with 2 feats. All Wizard of the Coast books are allowed.  DM will have to approve any 3rd party books. If I stay straight Healer, I will be able to select 2 spells with each level of advancement from any spells that deal with healing, providing protections, removing affliction, and
providing for needs. I’m looking for feats and spell suggestions. I’ve read through the Healer’s Handbook and a majority of the builds are for multiclassed healers.

Aasimar
Stats: Str 8, Dex 12, Con 10, Int 14, Wis 14, Cha 20

Human
Stats: Str 8, Dex 12, Con 12, Int 14, Wis 14, Cha 18

Feats: Augment Healing (Complete Divine, Dynamic Priest (Dragonlance Legends of the Twins)

Thanks,
Valen

Min/Max 3.x / Artificer Help
« on: March 24, 2013, 01:32:10 PM »
After wasting almost 2 weeks working on an artificer for a Pathfinder game, the DM surprised us. Our characters in the Forgotten Realms game that were slaughtered by werewolves have been resurrected. We all wake up in the temple to Shaundakul, stripped of all of our gear. We are starting at 8th level and enough xp to be half way to 9th level. The DM said we can change class(es), rearrange attributes, feats and skills. I’m staying with the Deep Imaskari Artificer. I need help with feats for the full 20 levels in what order to take the feats.

Level: 08
Race: Deep Imaskari
Class: Artificer

Str:   10
Dex:   14
Con:   14
Int:   22
Wis:   10
Cha:   14

Here’s the list that I’ve come up with after reviewing several forums. Any suggestions on the order I should take the feats. I’m looking at a mixture of blastificer and buffificer.

Energy Admixture
Energy Substitution (Electricity) {DM said no to Sonic}
Extend Spell
Extraordinary Artisan
Extra Rings
Legendary Artisan
Persistent Spell
Quicken Spell
Rapid Infusion
Twin Spell
Wand Mastery

Valen

Min/Max 3.x / Assassin Build Help
« on: October 11, 2012, 04:05:18 PM »
Due to a new job and crazy work schedule, I'm no longer able to game with my group on a regular basis. So the DM is letting me play one of the npcs. This will be a Forgotten Realms campaign. He ask me to create an assaasin build from level 1-20. He's limiting me to what classes and prestige classes that I can use. I have 82 points to divide between the 6 stats. I will be playing either a human or skulk (races of destiny)...Feats are subject to his approval. Any help would be appreicated.

Classes and Prestige Classes that i have work with:
Assassin
Fighter
Jaunter (Expedition to the Demonweb Pits)
Ranger
Rogue
Shadow Dancer
Shadow-Walker Template LA +1 (FR - Unapproachable East)
Swordsage (Tome of Battle)
Telflammar Shadowlord (FR - Unapproachable East)

Min/Max 3.x / 3.5/Pathfinder Ultimate Magus Build
« on: July 23, 2012, 09:58:22 AM »
Does anyone have a Ultimate Magus Build using the 3.5 and Pathfinder? The DM is allowing me to convert the Beguiler over to Pathfinder rules. All Pathfinder core and supplements are available for use. DM is allowing us to take 2 traits. I will be starting off as a 1st-level human beguiler, I have 84 points to divide among the 6 attributes, 250gp for equipment and four level 1 potions.

Thanks,
Valen

P.S. I will be taking practiced spellcaster at level 3.

Min/Max 3.x / Swordsage or Telflammar Shadowlord Build
« on: May 27, 2012, 03:02:13 AM »
Hi Everyone
Finally, I found a stable gaming group to join. We will be playing in Forgotten Realms. We will be using 3.0 and 3.5, no Tome of Magic or Psionics. I’m looking at either doing a straight Swordsage or Telflammar shadow lord build again. We will be starting at 1st level with 82 attribute points. I will be playing a human from Thesk. For the shadow lord I was looking to use some type of combination using rogue, swordsage with 2 levels of fighter, assassin and use the shadow-walker template. Any suggestion would be helpful.

Thanks,
Valen

I’m getting ready to join a 3.5 Forgotten Realms game next week and I needed suggestions for my Ultimate Magus build. All WOTC 3.0 and 3.5 books are available. I’ve read numerous websites with suggested builds, and I think I go with the beguiler1/wizard4/ultimate magus10/x5. The DM is starting me at 6th level with 82 points + 1 for 4th level. I will be playing a human. The adventure will start in Thesk near the border of Thay. So far the party has half elf bard 6, half orc fighter 6, human barbarian 4/fighter 2, human cleric 5/some type of summoner prestige class 1, human fighter 4/cleric 2, human transmuter 6, human warmage 6.

Str-10
Dex-14
Con-14
Int-19
Wis-14
Cha-12

1-beguiler 1
2-wizard 1
3-wizard 2
4-wizard 3
5-master specialist 1
6-ultimate magus 1

Abjuration specialist, opposition schools Enchantment and Illusion.

Feats
1-spellcasting prodigy (intelligence), spell focus (abjuration)
3-practiced spellcaster (beguiler)
5-skill focus (spellcraft)
6-extend spell

Any help with current and future feats would be helpful and spell suggestions.

Thanks,
Valen
