So good to have the boards back! My BG withdrawal is starting to subside already!

But just who am I? Well, I'm VennDygrem, for starters. I go by a few names here and there, but here I'm mostly just 'Venn.'
Also, 'Dygrem' is not a typo or misunderstanding- It just came from trying to come up with a way to turn 'venn diagram' into a reasonable name, nerdy as it is.

I'm from Massachusetts in the United States, though I will likely be moving to upstate New York very soon, which is both exciting and terrifying since I know almost no one there.

I've been gaming since I was a wee one, in some form or another, but I didn't get into tabletop RPGs until junior high, when I met one of my best friends who introduced me to Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, 2nd Edition. I was instantly hooked. Then 3rd Edition came out, I lost interest, and stopping playing for several years. Fell back in love with 3.5 and have been playing steadily since then, and have played several other systems as well.

I love video games, reading, cooking, drawing, watching tv and films, and a whole boat-load of other things.

I'm in Southern Mass., though honestly I'm roughly 45 minutes equi-distant from Boston, Worcester, and Providence (RI). Spent a brief 1.5 years going to Fitchburg State College (Now University), though, before transferring down to the Savannah College of Art & Design down in Georgia.

In about January or so I'll likely be moving to Rochester (considered by many to be in 'Upstate NY' since just about anywhere is upstate from NYC, even though there are other places more deserving of the title), though I'm seriously hoping I find a job that could allow me to afford to prevent the move before then.

So, I looked it up, and Rochester is in the Finger Lakes region. I think it's closer to Ohio than it is to me!

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure why Rochester is referred to as being "Upstate" other than my previously-given reason, that every town in NY is Upstate NY when compared to NYC.

I'd really rather not go there anyway, but it may be out of my hands.

Rochester is only a few hours away from my school. I think I know a guy who lives there, too.

Oh? What school? Rochester's got a nice central location, and there are a bunch of "a few hours away" locations I'll be planning to visit once I'm there. I'll end up moving and spend most of my town AWAY from the place.
