*An unrelated Eiji reappears*

You were gone for over a year. Everything okay?

He just needed the right amount of testosterone to be resummoned. HEY EIJI

I was out fighting Bgyah'zhal Ghulruuth the Grobbler of Spacetime.  Unfortunately there seems to have been side effects as we are still in the crazy timeline.  Gotta do some more human sacrifices to right this.

I am ok.

So today I nicked myself shaving. No biggie, but on an off-glance it did look like someone tried to take a stab at my eye and missed.

I was on my way back from the gym when I ran into an impromptu political rally. For those not keeping up with Brazillian news (why should you?), this is an election year. This one obnoxious guy is leading the polls, and everyone and their mom is rejecting him. So I run into these guys waving flags showing their support and shit. Now, this was near a school, and as everyone knows teenagers cannot learn when to keep their fucking mouths shut. So the two sides start arguing. It starts to get ugly, but more importantly, it starts getting loud. Loud enough that I can hear them over my headphones.

I take a deep breath, trying to calm myself, and failing miserably to do so.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP THE LOT OF YOU UNLESS YOU WANT TO EAT YOUR CHRISTMAS SUPPER THROUGH A FUCKING STRAW!"

I hear music again.

All is well with the world.

Good luck down there in Kaiju, Brazilla.  Our midterms are coming soon as well.

So I was coming back from a medieval fair yesterday. Decked out like a priest (albeit all in red) and with my boffer halberd (which is also mostly red).

And then I noticed this commotion as I reached the subway station closest to home. People shouting, sounded like a brawl.

I get closer and see like six guys wearing Internacional shirts (a local soccer team, their main color is red) accosting two other guys. So I walk a little closer, take a deep breath...

ENOUGH!!!

Five of them stop immediately, turn around and stare in confusion trying to figure out WTF is going on. The last guy ends up letting the others go since he's alone trying to smack them around.

Seeing as the source of the commotion has passed, I start walking up the stairs.

I can still hear them talking amongst themselves. "Dude, who the hell shouted earlier?" "It was this guy all in red, he walked past us a moment ago." I look down the stairs, they're not giving chase. At that point, I could've sworn I heard one of them say, "Man, do you think we were visited by the Ghost of Inter's Past?"

It's time for science.

Scientists have bred two female mice.  Their kids grew to adulthood and bred true.  Doesn't work for male/male, but if you know anything about mitochondria inheritance that makes sense.

Also....

I cannot wait for their arrival.

but if you know anything about mitochondria inheritance that makes sense.
That paternal mitochondria inheritance was confirmed in 2004 and that the "mitochondrial Eve" was just another terrible conclusion tabloids drew from limited observation?  ;)

It turned out most of your mtDNA comes from your mother, but you actually have around a negligible amount of cells in your body right now that use mtDNA from your father. And I have to say mixed genes is pretty fascinating to look up. Like during initial divisions certain markers get turned off (or activated) but there is no cohesive agreement yet. We went over something this in my A&P using a Calico cat. The hair color marker for house cats is apparently stored on the X chromosome. Skin cells with active X chromosomes from the mother grow one series of colors while skin cells with X chromosomes from the father grow another series resulting in the normal triple color pallet of red/black/white. Thus most calcio cats are female, but if it's male it more than likely suffering from the Klinefelter syndrome (it's sex is XXY, oh and spoiler alert that's a thing too) and it'll probably be infertile.
Would you die if you jumped from my perceived ego to your IQ? - Is 15secs of confirmation bias a goal post worth arguing for? - Ever asked a "victim" what they did to deserve it? - Are the words teen, SJW, & liberal synonyms? - "Only Sith deals in absolutes" contains a misspelled word.

Really?  I hadn't heard that before.  Looks like I need to update my ranks in Knowledge Biology then.

Here is an article on paternal mtDNA.
And a Ted Talk video about X-Inactivation (sic calico cat example).
If paternal mtDNA beats the odds and is present then reasonably every cell built on it's division would carry the paternal-sided mitochondrial. Like the guy's muscles in the article, they only made their breakthrough because out of all the odds they finally pull a sample from someone that had such a region. You'd have to test every single cell of a decent sample pool of humans to truly get an idea of the amount and even where it can be so we're still a long way off from really understanding it.

People that are into Birthright might be interested in this:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/816800048/seeds-of-wars-rpg-realm-management?ref=556619&token=17279351

It looks pretty interesting, though I don't believe they have shown any hard rules just general explanation of Realm Management. I think the greatest appeal is that the Realm Management rules are independent of a core TTRPG rules system, so you can play it with any Ruleset in theory.
Im really bad at what I do.
A+
