BG-archive triggering antivirus
« on: December 16, 2019, 03:04:57 AM »
When I follow a link to a BG-archive thread my antivirus goes berserk and pops up four or so warnings. Doesn't happen when I go to the main forum page for BG-archive (or MMF itself).

Might be a false positive, but could you check what's going on there?

EDIT: I should note that the warnings are from apparent connections to brilliantgameologists.com itself.

Sounds like the old website has potentially become malicious since the main BG site has been down for a while.

This means that our site isn't hosting anything bad, and not much can be done about it without going in to the back end and trying to change all of the links that reference the old site which isn't a small undertaking.

Yep reported this on the Discord the other day.
Any pages with links to brilliantgameologists will trigger warnings.
Beyond that though the bg-archives should be themselves safe.
Im really bad at what I do.
A+

A pity that the old site must have gotten sold/dropped by Meg and Josh, but there's not much we can do about it at the moment from our end.

X-C-oo the new poster, is 1 liner (wrong) and quoting but adding 2 spam links on 3 posts with 4 pounds of b.s.
