If you're still short members, I'd like to submit my interest. I'll give the world-setting a more thorough read, find out what roles I should fill, and post something, if you'll have me.
I'm here and ready to keep confusing the hell out of everyone I meet.

I'll throw in my hat as well if you still need players once the dust settles. Although playing in two of your PbPs simultaneously might get a little confusing. (Like it might if/when I reboot Death of an Artist.)

You could always combine your two games like you were talking about, and then I could make a new character like I was talking about. :P

Well, that would let me revive both of them. One or both of the groups would have to redo character sheets, though, which is always a huge pain.

It depends on how much bullshit everyone's willing to put up with, I guess. Also, I should probably start this discussion where Phaedrus isn't trying to get his game restarted. I'm just getting mud all over his nice clean floor.

Yeah I know how real life commitments can kick gaming time to the curb. And given that I've got promoted and have a heap of responsibilities on my lap now, I'm wondering how much more free time do I have too.

Anyway, are you keeping the old houserules? I might play something simpler and more straightforward. Oh and we're using Pathfinder rules?
Will add later

Yeah, keeping the old house rules. Not using pathfinder in general, but you were using a version of the PF Summoner, right? We can look at PF classes on a case-by-case basis, but I'm not versed with the PF rules as a whole.

As far as adding a new person, roles to cover, etc, the original idea behind this was the party was all supposed to be psionic somehow, and from a land where psionics is banned (punished by Exile), and magic is heavily controlled as well. The world is a frozen wasteland, with what pockets of civilization that exist almost entirely contained in heavily-shielded city-states. You can read more in the house rules and other threads.

If archangel is leaving, I will probably add 1 or 2 more. You aren't absolutely required to play a psionic class, as everyone gets Wild Talent for free (and therefore is exiled...), but it would fit more with the theme if you did. Dreamscarred Press material is available, as is hyperconscious if you can provide the crunch (I don't have any of those books).

The Psi. Warrior I was using was a beta of the Pathfinder one. I don't know if they ever finalized it or not.

They did; the final class is online here. IIRC, the biggest difference is that they replaced the Wis-based bonuses from paths with scaling flat bonuses.

Not one of the original players, but I also express interest should there be an open spot. Even dangerous psychos occasionally need a game and I haven't played for ages!

Wow... lot's of interest. I'm not really a fan of games with more than 4-6 PCs, though, especially PbPs. It can just get too confusing and slow. Almost makes me want to try starting another one to accommodate you guys.  :P

Very few DMs around. I recall the PbPs, especially 3.5e ones, getting packed in hours at BG as well. Best to just pick the originals and then see if there any room, n'est-ce pas? As you pointed out, too many players slow PbPs down and it's not like they are all that fast-paced to begin with.

On an unrelated note, good to see you around as well.

Might I inquire as to your thoughts on the use of the Sublime Ranger for this campaign?

Sure. Take care, Nick.

So that leaves 2 or 3 open slots for this game.

If you want to work together on the other game, Percival, I'd be up for that. I had some ideas on how to run another game set in this world, maybe somewhat based on the Way of the Wizard game I played in a while back on the BG boards. The overarching idea would be that the PCs would be a team of "investigators" or "troops" for one of the cities, sent out to investigate/kill/whatever things both inside and especially outside the city walls. It might even happen that the two groups encounter each other, but it's certainly not necessary.

Lol.  Sorry to use your thread for a shameless plug... I already have the stuff worked out for my new game.  :/  I would love to collaborate on something else, though!  (And, you're absolutely welcome to play in it, if it's your style.  :) )
