[3.5] Feats that can count as other feats
« on: November 05, 2011, 11:07:00 PM »
There was a thread by this name at GitP. Interesting stuff.
EDIT: New one.

Anyway, it inspired me to come up with some material of my own:

Quote
Tireless [Fighter]
You can just keep going.
Prerequisites: Con 15
Benefit: You are immune to fatigue. Any effect which would cause you to become exhausted causes you to become fatigued instead.
Special: Tireless can be used in place of the Endurance feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability.
Special: A barbarian receives this feat as a bonus feat at 17th level.
Quote
Weapon Bond [Fighter]
The sword is your soul.
Prerequisites: Proficiency with selected weapon
Benefit: Once per round, you may take 10 on an attack roll with the selected weapon. You gain a +4 bonus on checks made to avoid being disarmed of the weapon.
Special: You may choose a set of weapons (eg. rapier and dagger) instead of a single weapon. In this case you apply the benefits to all these weapons, but unless you wield the entire set you take a -4 penalty on attack rolls.
Special: Weapon Bond can be used in place of the Weapon Focus feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability.
Quote
Weapon Mastery [Fighter]
Prerequisites: Weapon Bond (selected weapon), base attack bonus +3
Benefit: You gain a bonus on damage rolls with the selected weapon with the selected weapon equal to half your BAB. Any special attack which uses the weapon in some way increases its DC by 1 (or you gain a +1 bonus on the check, as appropriate).
Special: Greater Weapon Bond can be used in place of the Weapon Specialisation feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability.
Quote
Greater Weapon Bond [Fighter]
Prerequisites: Weapon Bond (selected weapon), Weapon Mastery (selected weapon), base attack bonus +6
Benefit: You may take 10 on all attack rolls with the weapon you selected for Weapon Bond.
Special: Greater Weapon Bond can be used in place of the Greater Weapon Focus feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability.
Quote
Greater Weapon Mastery [Fighter]
Prerequisites: Weapon Bond (selected weapon), Weapon Mastery (selected weapon), base attack bonus +9
Benefit: You gain a bonus on damage rolls with the selected weapon with the selected weapon equal to your BAB. Any special attack which uses the weapon in some way increases its DC by 2 (or you gain a +2 bonus on the check, as appropriate). This replaces the benefit from Weapon Mastery.
Special: Greater Weapon Mastery can be used in place of the Greater Weapon Specialisation feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability.
Quote
Enhanced Critical [Fighter]
Benefit: Select one weapon. Your critical multiplier with that weapon is increased by 1. This stacks with keen edge and similar effects. In addition, you gain a +4 bonus on rolls made to confirm critical threats.
Special: Enhanced Critical can be used in place of the Improved Critical feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability.
Quote
Armor Training [Fighter]
Your experience with armor is unusually specific.
Benefit: Select one type of armor. You are proficient with that armor, and its maximum Dex bonus is increased by 1 while its armor check penalty is reduced by 1 and its Arcane Spell Failure chance is reduced by 5%.
Special: Armor Training can be used in place of the Armor Proficiency feat of the chosen armor's weight class to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability, as well as the Armor Proficiency feats for all lower weight classes (eg. a character with Armor Training [full plate] would count as having proficiency in light, medium and heavy armor).

Pressure Strike [Fighter]
You know how to find pressure points on your opponent's body even when they shouldn't have any.
Prerequisites: Wis 13, Heal 8 ranks
Benefit: As a free action you may expend a use of this ability, allowing you to strike an opponent's weak points for 1 round. Whenever you make an attack you may choose for it to deal half damage. In exchange any creature struck must make a Fortitude save (DC = 10 + half character level + Wis modifier) or be stunned for 1 round, even if they would normally be immune to stunning. You may use this ability once per day for every four levels you have attained - each use allows you to apply it to any of your attacks for 1 round (you need not apply it to all of your attacks).
Special: A monk may select Pressure Strike as a bonus feat at 1st level, even if she does not meet the prerequisites. A monk who selects this feat may use the feat a number of times per day equal to her monk level, plus one more time per day for every four levels she has in classes other than monk.
Special: Pressure Strike can be used in place of the Stunning Fist feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability. You may spend Pressure Strike uses the same way you can spend Stunning Fist uses, and any feat that grants you additional Stunning Fist uses instead grants you additional Pressure Strike uses. Feats which modify the effects of Stunning Fist instead apply to Pressure Strike.

Ki Wave
You can project blasts of spiritual energy.
Prerequisites: Wis 13, Concentration 8 ranks, proficiency with selected weapon
Benefit: Select one melee weapon with which you are proficient. For 1 round you may use that weapon to make ranged attacks with an increment of 5ft, +5ft per point of Wisdom modifier. This is treated as an attack with a thrown weapon, but your weapon does not leave your hands. You may use this ability once per day for every four levels you have attained.
Special: A monk may select Ki Wave as a bonus feat at 1st level, even if she does not meet the prerequisites. A monk who selects this feat may use the feat a number of times per day equal to her monk level, plus one more time per day for every four levels she has in classes other than monk.
Special: Ki Wave can be used in place of the Stunning Fist feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability. You may spend Ki Wave uses the same way you can spend Stunning Fist uses, and any feat that grants you additional Stunning Fist uses instead grants you additional Ki Wave uses.

Ki Storm
You can project your spiritual energy forward in a massive stream.
Prerequisites: Wis 15, Ki Wave
Benefit: As a standard action you may expend two uses of Ki Wave to perform a special attack with the weapon you selected for that feat. This attack takes the form of a line with a length of 10ft per monk level (+10ft for every four levels in a class other than monk) and deals extra damage equal to your Wis modifier. Creatures in affected squares can make a Reflex save (DC = 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Wis modifier) for half damage. After using this attack you must wait 1d4 rounds before using it again.
Special: Ki Storm can be used in place of a breath weapon to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability, and effects which modify breath weapons may be applied to it. A monk may select Ki Storm as a bonus feat at 2nd level, even if she does not meet the prerequisites.

Projectile Deflection [Fighter]
Can't touch this.
Prerequisites: Dex 13
Benefit: You gain a +3 bonus to AC against ranged attacks as long as you are not flat-footed.
Special: A monk may select Projectile Deflection as a bonus feat at 2nd level, even if she does not meet the prerequisites. Projectile Deflection can be used in place of the Deflect Arrows feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability.
Quote
Projectile Reflection [Fighter]
You make immortal red-haired sorcerers nervous.
Prerequisites: Dex 15, Projectile Deflection
Benefit: Whenever a ranged attack against you misses by an amount smaller than or equal to the bonus from Projectile Deflection, you may either grab the projectile (as long as you are capable of holding it) or redirect it against the original attacker as a free action (make a new attack roll with the weapon). If you reflect a ranged spell in this manner you take a -4 penalty for non-proficiency unless you have that spell on the spell list of one of your classes or you succeed in a Use Magic Device check to emulate it.
Special: Projectile Reflection can be used in place of the Snatch Arrows feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability.
Quote
Master Deflection [Fighter]
Prerequisites: Projectile Deflection
Benefit: You can take a penalty on all attack rolls up to half your BAB, and increase the AC bonus granted by Projectile Deflection against ranged attacks by double the amount. The changes to attack rolls and Armor Class last until your next action.
Special: Master Deflection can be used in place of the Combat Expertise feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability.
Quote
Spelldancer [Fighter]
Prerequisites: Arcane caster level 1st, proficiency with longsword or rapier, Perform (dance) 4 ranks
Benefit: You may use your arcane caster level in place of your base attack bonus when attacking with a longsword or rapier in one hand and nothing in the other. To gain this benefit you cannot attack with any other weapon as part of the same action (including touch spells, but not spells channeled through the weapon).
Special: Spelldancer can be used in place of the Weapon Focus (longsword or rapier) feat to qualify for a feat, prestige class, or other special ability. An elf wizard may select this feat as one of his bonus feats.
