Dominate Person vs Outsider(Native)
« on: July 31, 2012, 09:46:32 PM »
Dominate Person targets one humanoid.

A half-celestial human is an outsider(native).

This means Dominate Person does not work on a half-celestial human, right?  Even though he's got a humanoid shape (with wings).

Correct.  It only cares about the type, not the creature's other features.

Right, Outsider type is Outsider type, regardless what they look like.  Spells which work on humanoids only refer to the type "Humanoid".

Yep, humanoid type does not necessarily mean humanoid shape or the other way around. I am a big fan of outsider type myself, the free weapon proficiencies are always nice too
