It can ascend at half speed and descend at double speed, and its maneuverability is good. Using a levitate spell requires only as much concentration as walking, so the subject can attack or cast spells normally. The subject of a levitate spell can charge but not run, and it cannot carry aloft more weight than its maximum load, plus any armor it wears. Should the spell duration expire while the subject is still aloft, the magic fails slowly. The subject floats downward 60 feet per round for 1d6 rounds. If it reaches the ground in that amount of time, it lands safely. If not, it falls the rest of the distance, taking 1d6 points of damage per 10 feet of fall.

These vapors automatically kill any living creature with 6 or fewer HD (no save). A living creature with 7 to 15 HD is slain unless it succeeds on a Fortitude save (in which case it takes 1d4 points of Constitution damage on your turn each round while in the cloud). A living creature with 16 or more HD takes 1d4 points of Constitution damage on your turn each round while in the cloud (a successful Fortitude save halves this damage). Holding one’s breath doesn’t help, but creatures immune to poison are unaffected by the spell. Unlike a fog cloud, the venom cloud moves away from you at 10 feet per round, rolling along the surface of the ground. Figure out the cloud’s new spread each round based on its new point of origin, which is 10 feet farther away from the point of origin where you cast the spell. Because the vapors are heavier than air, they sink to the lowest level of the land, even pouring down den or sinkhole openings. It cannot penetrate liquids, nor can it be cast underwater.

Added a bunch of spells. Goal is to have 100 spells total over 10 spell levels (certain pairs of spells only count as 1 spell). Slowly snagging SRD spells and turning them into Arx ones.

Make that not so slowly. Got the first 100 spells in place. Now to create the basic rules.
