Well, "The Pugilist develops non-lethal damage only" could also be read as "The Pugilist [trains to deal] non-lethal damage only"

For that to be the intended reading, it would imply an even greater degree of poor wording, especially since nothing else in the feat implies the context of dealing damage versus receiving it.

Any way around this editor of said feat did a piss poor job.

But the dun of TO is that such ambiguity allows much wriggle room in what is actually written.

Well, yes.

In fact, we can take it literally, he only develops non-lethal damage.
So he's immune to disease (can't develop cancer, pneumonia, or anything else. Only "non-lethal damage" which isn't much of a disease.)  Pugilists are also worthless as Engineers, can't develop any new designs.

I had a bizarre image in my mind of someone developing photos that all turned out to be pictures of a fist that then jumps out and smashes you in the face...

I've seen pictures of Kuroimaken and that didn't happen. But then again, I don't recall seeing pictures of his fists.

I only saw a link to a picture of his fists, but I don't remember what happened after I clicked it. I must've blacked out...

Assume that was photoshopped.
Nobody has ever seen Kuroi's fists (of doom).

And lived. There is, however, the legend of the 20th level Cleric who, having devoted his entire build to buffing Spot, managed to catch a glimpse of them before he was swiftly destroyed. Fucker shouldn't have tried to rob that bank. The point is, it's within the realm of feasibility to see them, it's just the consequences usually aren't worth it.

Consequences being that not only does the fist destroy the body, it also destroys the soul.  Wish, Miracle, and Alter Reality cannot bring the soul back.  Divine Intervention might work, but no deity would ever dare defy The Fists.

To bring it all back, I'm not sure what's better:

the Ikea Tarrasque ... or ... Kuroimaken

forgive me (whimper)

Well. The idea of the Ikea Tarrasque is, at its basest point, about building something that is as immune to damage as the big T.

So I don't exactly see the "or" here.
Are you doubting Kuroi being an Ikea Tarrasque?

Yes. Kuroi isn't immune to damage, only impervious to the effects. Extreme hit point pool and iron heart surge models the defensive capabilities of Kuroi decently (although they do of course come up slightly short)
