I know that a warmage picks up sudden quicken at 20th level. That lets you throw quicken on any spell you know for free once per day

While on the one hand, I do like the idea of giving CHA come benefits other than spontaneous casting and UMD, I don't know that you can. Because it is used by spontaneous casters and UMD.

I am personally in favor of the direction you are heading with #1. However, from personal experience, I can tell you that there is not a lot of difference between using a shield effectively (depending on shield type), and using two blades when it comes to the need for coordination. I have no qualms with adding BAB to AC with a shield, but I would make a feat required to do so. Frankly, I find the AC bonus granted by most shields a little... I don't know, insulting. With the size of the bonus I am getting to my armor, I would rather just take a great sword and make it dead faster. I would like to see shields reworked so that there is actually some thought that I have to put into the matter.
