My healer and divine mind are done, with the posts by others I'm leaning heavily towards the healer.
Healer-Pretty basic

Ah, your Healer... Studded Leather is a mixture of leather and metal, isn't it? Healer oaths penalize you for wearing metal armours.

Myth-Weavers is back up, so I've started work on the character sheet.

Ruling question - can I take Aasimar to Half-Celestial transition levels as a Lesser Aasimar?

Also, the Spell Compendium advises expanding the Healer class' spell list within certain limits (IIRC, other healing spells, some protections, spells that provide for physical needs, and spells that are variants of the ones on their base spell list). Is that acceptable?

I'll start working on putting my character together once I have the chance. I'll probably be playing a Healer.

Hm, no flaws does hurt some, I admit, but I think I can handle it.

Incidentally, Mythweavers seems to be doing an intentional blackout right now.

D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder / Re: Sculpt Spell Insight/Question

Depends on the spell.

I think there's either a metamagic or an item that can turn rays into cones. I don't know any other examples though.

To be fair, that wasn't Satan. Satan did show up toward the end of the series though.

Touche.

Man, that was a weird series.

"My 3.5 PC has his left ball possessed by Satan, how do I work this in 5.0?"

Great, now I want to reread that series...

Legends of the Heroes / Re: Spells drawn from the media

Given that Endless White Ninth Heaven is noted to keep freezing enemy barriers repeatedly, it's probably more that the spell continues attempting to penetrate SR until the duration ends or it gets a success.

Melan Kai Sphairikon Desmoterion... I think it's one of Dynamis' spells. I forget the exact scene he used it in though.

I'd try to stat out Burst End myself, but I don't really have an eye for determining balance. As it is, I'll try to describe it better as shown in-universe (I'd point you to the manga, but scans haven't gotten that far, so I'd have to direct you to official translations. I'd point you to the anime, but youtube doesn't seem to have episodes up anymore, and other streaming sites seem to have had most of their episodes removed)

It kinda reminds me of a Channeled Pyroburst spell that has been channeled a full two rounds, with an added effect akin to the Explosive Spell metamagic, except the area of that metamagic reaches beyond the fire itself.

Hm... no more ideas are coming to me at the moment.

Regarding the Dragon Slave...

Didn't it work by attacking the target's spirit, with the magical energy that didn't go into the spirit-destroying effect becoming the source of the giant explosion?

On the note of Negima... any thoughts regarding some of the other spells? For some to throw about...

From a lesser-known series... Beet the Vandel Buster.

It's late, so I'll toss up some more ideas at some later time.

I might be interested in playing, provided I have enough time (always an issue with only one computer in a house of four). I'd be most interested in Healer, or maybe Battle Dancer.

Which leaves me asking - are there any restrictions on books used? Which books are open can change a lot regarding what you can do with a Healer.

Incidentally, the Fate/Apocrypha novel has had its first chapter released and translated. Any ideas for statting out the servant introduced there?

The FSN Wiki has information on this particular Servant's stats.

Do I really have such a reputation?  :D
I just wish people would answer my questions...  :(

So, is Hoy just short for "Ahoy?" Or is it some sort of battle cry?

How long have you played 3.5? Have you ever played Xenosaga?

What does "Tsuzurao" mean?
Okay then.

'Hoy is indeed a shortening of "Ahoy". If you've ever played Wind Waker, imagine it said the way Aryll says it at the beginning of the game.

I've played 3.5e for about two years. I've wanted to play D&D since around the time 3e first came out, but I didn't get to see the only people I knew who played it at any time other than school - and it was a long trip to and from school.

And yes, I've played Xenosaga. Only up to Episode II though - I haven't had a chance to play Episode III. I haven't even seen a copy around anywhere.

As for the meaning of Tsuzurao... If you've ever played Okami, did you get far enough to meet Priestess Rao? Well, like several characters' names in the game, it was shortened in the English translation. In her case, the original name is Tsuzurao (admittedly, it does come off as a complicated-looking name for someone who doesn't have at least a tenuous grasp on the Japanese language). As for the meaning, it's a bit of a veiled pun that gets lost in translation, but explaining it is a spoiler for the game.
