Trolls and trolling apparently came from the 80s.
It is basically a term for someone that posts to create arguments, disrupting to normal flow of an online board.

we all know exactly how that works on these message boards, and also potentially in games.

I can think of a couple of them on here

Rules Lawyer - knowing the game should be a good thing, but some people just like to argue...

I like realism in my game - this is always good for a laugh in our group
