"Free" metamagic?

Easy MM explicitly says that it can't lower a MM feat below +1 (not counting Arcane Thesis, which, of course, can still bring it down to a +0).

So if I take Easy Metamagic (Invisible Spell), does it cost +0 or +1?

Why would an easy metamagic become easier by easing it's metamagic? (I dare you to say this 3 times fast )
