Energy Substitution (Fire)

It conjures a block of solid FIRE, right? No unusual effects otherwise?

Solid surface covered in slippery, non-damaging fire, yes?

So I can change any energy type into fire, then spontaneously cast any fire spell. So anything weird happen when I create a fire version of Enthrall?

So I use energy substitution on the following spells, casting them one after another on the same weapon. Energy Sub makes them ALL fire damage.

So, by my math, the weapon would do 3d6+1d8 fire damage, yes?

The spells still conjure their original material into being, it just gains the fire descriptor and all energy damage is converted into fire if possible.

They changed the language in Complete Arcane, but in every previous printing, the feat says that all non-damage effects remain the same.  So probably no effect on Conjure Ice Object, Ice Slick, or Enthrall.  RAW, I'm not sure it works on the weapon targeting spells either.
