Sneak attack plus maneuvers?
« on: July 29, 2014, 03:56:07 PM »
If you strike a flat-footed opponent with a martial maneuver do you still get sneak attack effects? Like if I were to use Rabid Wolf Strike on a Flat-Footed opponent when I have 2d6 sneak atatck, would Is till roll the sneak atatck dice as bonus damage on top of the effects of the maneuver?

Yes. Sneak Attack damage applies any time you meet the conditions (denied Dex to AC or flanked, not necessarily flat footed), even when attacking with spells or martial maneuvers.
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

Just remember type gets screwy.

By default Sneak Attack is just a bonus to your damage, if you're dealing fire it deals fire, if your dealing slashing it deals slashing.

However, you can also deliver Sneak Attack when dealing Ability Damage/Drain and Negative Levels. The damage type of your Sneak Attack is Negative EnergyRotG which can create some wtf moments. Like using a Constitution Damage based attack to heal someone with Tomb Tainted Soul. Best doctor ever.
