Races of Ooo [3.5, Adventure Time]
« on: December 06, 2011, 02:23:35 AM »
Humans
  • +2 to any single ability score
  • Medium: As Medium creatures, Humans have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
  • Base land speed 30ft.
  • 4 extra skill points at 1st level and 1 extra skill point at each additional level.
  • Wanderlust: Always seeking adventures, a Human that finds himself outside of any settled area regains 1 hit point per HD per hour and enjoys a +1 racial bonus to attack rolls, AC, skill checks, and saving throws. A Human cannot regain hit points beyond 50% of his maximum hit points in this way.

Candy People
  • +2 Constitution, +2 Charisma, -2 Wisdom
  • Small: As Small creatures, Candy People gain a +1 size bonus to Armor Class, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, and a +4 size bonus on Hide checks, but use smaller weapons than Humans, and has lifting and carrying limits three-quarters those of a Medium character.
  • Base land speed 20ft.
  • +2 racial bonus to Diplomacy and Perform checks.
  • Delicious: The taste of a Candy Person is difficult for many creatures to resist. While within 30ft of a Candy Person, a creature with a natural bite attack must succeed on a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 Candy Person's HD + Candy Person's Constitution modifier) or be compelled to approach and bite the Candy Person to the exclusion of all other activities and actions. A creature with the Swallow Whole special attack suffers a -2 penalty to this Will save. This is a Compulsion effect.
  • High-Spirited: Morale bonuses granted to a Candy Person cannot be removed by outside effects, and furthermore a Candy Person is immune to all numeric penalties bestowed by effects that cause negative emotions (sadness, anger, anxiety) such as the Crushing Despair spell. A Candy Person is not immune to Fear effects but does not suffer any numeric penalties bestowed by such effects.

Flambo
  • +2 Dexterity, -2 Intelligence
  • Small: As Small creatures, Flambos gain a +1 size bonus to Armor Class, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, and a +4 size bonus on Hide checks, but use smaller weapons than Humans, and has lifting and carrying limits three-quarters those of a Medium character.
  • Base land speed 30ft.
  • Fire Subtype: A Flambo has immunity to fire, but vulnerability to cold, which means it takes no damage from fire and half again as much (+50%) damage as normal from cold, regardless of whether a saving throw is allowed, or if the save is a success or failure.
  • Heat: The touch of a Flambo is hot enough to burn dealing creatures and objects the Flambo touches 1 point of Fire damage per HD of the Flambo. This heat is conducted through metal melee weapons the Flambo wields and also damages creatures that grapple with the Flambo or hit the Flambo with a non-reach melee attack.
  • Levitation: A Flambo may move up or down as the Levitate spell at will at a speed of 5ft per round at 1 HD, 10ft per round at 4 HD, 20ft per round at 8 HD, and 30ft per round at 12 HD.

Lumpy Space People
  • +2 Constitution, -2 Dexterity, -2 Charisma
  • Medium: As Medium creatures, Lumpy Space People have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
  • Base land speed 15ft. Fly 15ft (Average maneuverability).
  • Air Subtype
  • +2 racial bonus to Bluff, Escape Artist, Gather Information, and Listen checks.
  • Banal Banter: A Lumpy Space Person suffers a -2 penalty to all Diplomacy, Intimidate, and Sense Motive checks; however, any creature that hears the LSP speak for at least 6 seconds (1 full round) and has not spent at least 24 hours in the LSP's company must succeed on a Will saving throw (DC 10 +1/2 LSP's HD + LSP's Charisma modifier {or - LSP's Charisma penalty if higher}) at the beginning of its next turn to avoid being Confused for as long as the LSP continues speaking or for 5 rounds, whichever is shorter. A Lumpy Space Person may perform any other actions while speaking. Regardless of whether a creature fails or succeeds at this save, it is immune to further uses of Banal Banter for 24 hours. This is a language-dependent, Mind-Affecting effect.
  • Air Head: A Lumpy Space Person is stubborn and usually thinks itself too cool for lesser things granting it a +2 racial bonus vs Compulsion effects and an additional +1 racial bonus to all Will saves except against creatures with fewer HD than it.

Penguins
  • Penguins do not receive any racial bonuses or penalties to ability scores.
  • Tiny: As Tiny creatures, Penguins gain a +2 size bonus to Armor Class, a +2 size bonus on attack rolls, and a +8 size bonus on Hide checks, but use smaller weapons than Humans, and has lifting and carrying limits one-half those of a Medium character
  • Base land speed 15ft. Swim 15ft.
  • Natural Weapons: Melee 2 Claws, 1d3 + Str modifier.
  • +4 racial bonus to Hide checks in snow, and a +4 racial bonus to Swim checks made to avoid swimming hazards.
  • Immunity to Fear effects, Sleep effects, Stunning, and Energy Drain.
  • Low-Light Vision: A Penguin can see twice as far as a Human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. He retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
  • Darkvision: Penguins can see in the dark up to 60 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and Penguins can function just fine with no light at all.
  • Evil Subtype: Penguins are treated as Evil aligned regardless of their actual alignment for all purposes (including meeting the prerequisites of feats, items, classes, etc) and overcome Damage Reduction as though their weapons were evil-aligned.

As much as it would make it suck to play a Candy Person, you forgot to mention that they explode when frightened.  I figure you kept that out to save people some grief.

Also, since the LSP are able to hover, I would consider either increasing their maneuverability to perfect or instead give them an ability similar to scorn earth.

Other than those, everything looks awesome.  :thumb

Lol... that'd suck for your character to explode every time a surprise round started.
