Control Flames looks like it could be a worry. It depends on how your DM does flame spreading. Could be a lot less towns on the map.
Frostbite seems to be a direct upgrade of the Bard's cantrip, but for classes that didn't need it.
Create Bonfire should be hilarious for Warlocks. Hex 'em, burn 'em, push them back through it with repelling eldritch blast. Force, fire and necrotic damage. Resist that!
Catapult should be fun for throwing poison, oil, acid, holy water, spare swords. Anything really. Might be able to be rules lawyered onto multiple "objects" as a lvl 2 spell, just due to the upgrade wording.
Magic Stone is cool for one reason. Now my slave ape army from Conjure Animals has ammo restocks. Magical, 60' range ammo restocks. Say goodbye to the action economy once again. It turns out druids make the best archers, or armies of them, along with the best everything else.
Investiture of Ice looks sweet. Be difficult, annoying and damaging terrain for ten minutes. I wonder what happens when you do it flying or swimming?
Whirlwind is awesome. Ok, you could use it in battle if you wanted to, but that's not its main use. Its main use is to snag loot you want before opposing party members can get their grubby little mitts on it. Yes, this is worth a lvl 7 spell slot to do so.
Shape Water should be cool. I don't know how yet though. All I can think of is water-boarding or casting a quickened one to drag a swimmer down 5', then turning the water to ice above them, but they can then just surface somewhere else. That and cheap water walking. There has to be more than that there though.
Mold Earth is great, just because making difficult terrain or the removal of it is always handy. Quick digging is occasionally handy as well. Plus, you can caveman draw pictures in the dirt for people that don't understand you. Yes, that is very obviously a woman that we're looking for.....
On the races, they're quite good. A big guy, a firey guy, a little stealthy guy, a beefy stealthy guy, a swimmer, a floater/non-drowner, a flyer. Wait. WTF?!? A +0LA flyer. Holy crap. That's awesome. That's pretty much brokenly good. And plenty of anti-shooty/anti-elemental spells so that your only real troubles are taken care of. Well, umm. There's no reason to play as anything else really if you're optimizing. Oh, and we can finally find out if DMs think Longstrider works on flying speeds. Because it does.....
Rise of the Apes? Nope. It's Attack of the Birdmen! Evil, stealth assassin birdmen that will incidentally have repelling blast for when they can't be bothered insta-stab-killing people. That will laugh their evil parrot talk laugh as they drop endless bonfires on the helpless citizens below.
WotC really made an mistake here.....
