Uh-huh, and now that fantasy the junior crowd loves can exist:  a Pirate riding a Dinosaur.

Your combo illustrates the hidden value of Lore Bard especially.
The obvious choice at level 18 is Wish, but those lower level
{ spell + spell } interactions spool out rather quickly.
3 lists interacting at level 6, 5 lists interacting at level 10.
It's like they created this class specifically for the leftover
3.5e C.O. -heads to go on a decade long dumpster dive.
Throw Magic Initiate into the mix for another short list.
(Tome'Lock has cantrip trickery to itself)

Actually you can polymorph both yourself and your paladin steed with the same spell. It's that perk of Find Steed - when mounted you can make any spell that affects you also affect your paladin mount. As for cantrip trickery, Magic Initiate and Spell Sniper can give you cantrips from 2 classes in addition to your own if you feel like it, although that's probably a waste of feats.

Also, yeah, helping yourself to all the cross-class spell combos in the game is one of the hidden strengths of playing a Bard in 5E. That and extremely high initiative and dispels (at least if you're playing a Lore Bard).

Wow that's gonna come together something tight !

Get the Mounted feat at level 8.  Dive for the better 2 poly forms.
Warding Bond spell on you and the Steed, without the targetting yourself twice cheese = less problems with DMs.
Now it just needs a Concentration spell that would buff both, picked in the other level 6 slot.
