Oh it gets better.  When I was playing the Rogue/Ranger with a Dwarf he told me he wasn't going to assess me the XP penalty for not keeping them balanced. But now that I have dipped into a 3rd class I have to pay the 20% XP penalty........

Now I will say that he does not do the standard XP out of the book, he likes to give the lower level players more XP and higher level Players closer to book XP so that the party can stay close in XP and no one player gets too much higher than another. So I am not worried about the penalty. So if I make another character for his campaign. My next challenge will be to make on that only uses 2 classes lol..... Personally I like the challenge lol.

I learned a lot from you guys with the swift hunter build. So I am not worried lol

That is actually the normal rules for 3.5 (in 3.0 this was specific to Forgotten Realms).
I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

I have no idea what the XP conversation is.  Lower leveled PCs get more XP due to the way CR and level interact.  It's already built into the system.

Just to reiterate, this guy sounds like a total tool.  You can tell him I said so.

I mean in addition to the XP that lower level characters would normally get. He gives the lower level characters an addition boost of XP.

And don't be too hard on the guy. He could have let me die in the last encounter. The Ambush was direct from the book. We are going through the Shackled City campaign.

Yes he does some things that I don't agree with and that tend to benefit him and not the player...... but remember he is doing his best to run an adventure that was designed for 4 people and we are a party of 7-8

Yes I get frustrated with him at times. But I haven't stopped showing up so its on me. I have to accept his way of running the game if I am going to play in his game.

This Swift Hunter is going to be a major improvement over my last character and I am going to play it "well" but probably not to it's fullest potential (unless I need to)

Again, Yes I get frustrated but I also enjoy the game.
