Things you might want to include in your first post

This is your chance to introduce yourself.  People interested in new people will keep an eye on this board to see who is joining.  Here are some things you might want to include (there are no requirements.  You don't need to include anything you don't want to)

-Your name
-Your favorite games
-Your non gaming hobbies
-Where you live, including country, without using abbreviations
-What other communities you belong to meetups, message boards etc
-Your twitter, facebook or G+ handle

The poster plays a game you like
The poster has a hobby you share
The poster has a hobby that you think is cool and want to know more about

They also hang out somewhere else that you hang out

You are lonely

Like so many things not letting you fill these out when you make your profile is an anti spam thing.
