Other guy in the party needs a new animal companion.

Hi.

A friend and I are finishing off a high-power campaign (all our other players abandoned us, so there's not much left to do except win). His animal companion died last session, so for the last few sessions he'll need a new one.

His character currently has 14 levels of Druid (was 11, but many house rules+Intelligence damage to the level 20 frenzied berserker gave us 3 levels.). It is not an aquatic campaign.

If there are other (worthy) animal companions not listed in the PHB mentioning those would also be appreciated.

Addendum:
It doesn't have to be the best of the best (min/max). Just useful or awesome.
We can fly and teleport, so there's not much call for a mount.

Well, the obvious one is fleshraker^MMIII, that's basically the go-to high-op animal companion.

Ah, I didn't see your addendum.  In fairness, you did say high powered campaign^^  But the link should give you a pretty good list of the above-average companion choices.
