The Kavu loses all other racial bonus and gains Magical Beast traits. It's a medium sized Magical Beast has lowlight and darkvision out 60', with base speed 40 feet. It has a bite attack dealing 1d6+Str mod damage plus two claw attacks each dealing 1d4+1/2 Str mod damage. It has no limbs capable of fine manipulation. Gains natural armor equal to Con modifier.
Extra Arms: The Kavu was born with an extra functional set of arms. He may use these extra arms in combat but only uses half his normal Str modifier.
Multi-Segmented Limbs: The limbs of these Kavu contain an extra joint. The Kavu gains +4 to all Escape Artist checks.
Temper: this Kavu is very aggressive, that when it takes damage in combat flies into a berserk rage on its next turn, clawing and biting madly until either it or its opponent is dead. It gains +4 to Strength, +4 to Constitution, and -2 to Armor Class. The creature cannot end its rage voluntarily. Last 3+new con mod. Useable HD times per day. Note requires Reckless adaptation.
Reckless: the Kavu is wild, unpredictable can trade in its ac for attack bonus up to its BAB as a swift action, this exchange last until your next turn.
Fur: The Kavu is covered in shaggy fur, and gains +2 to Animal Empathy checks due to his bestial appearance and suffers no damage from environmental (not spell induced) Cold damage. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Rough Skin, Rubbery, or Slimy.
Gaunt: The Kavu is painfully gaunt no matter how much he eats, gaining DR 3+HD/slashing and piercing weapons at the cost of -1 Con. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Increased Metabolism, Obesity or Twisted Organs.
Advance Gaunt: a Kavu gains a +2 adaptation bonus to Dexterity and a –2 adaptation penalty to Constitution. Furthermore, he gains a +2 circumstance bonus on Escape Artist checks and Intimidate checks. Also gains resistance to fire damage equal to 3+HD. Note: must have taken Guant adaptation.
Gills: The Kavu has gills and can breathe water but must keep the gills moist at all times, needing approximately two water skins worth of water a day to do this. Failure to keep the gills wet results in a dry irritating rash that distracts the Kavu; putting him at –1 to checks involving physical activity (including combat, Reflex saves and most skill checks). These penalties stop once the character has spent two whole days with his gills adequately moistened.
Increased Metabolism: The Kavu's metabolism works at a greatly accelerated rate. His natural healing rate is doubled. However when sent below 0 hit points he loses 2 hit points a round instead of 1. The onset time of all poisons and diseases is halved, and he must eat twice as much as anyone else. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Gaunt.
Membrane Wings: The Kavu has a thin layer of membrane stretched between his arms and his body. When falling from any height, the Kavu can make a Reflex save with a DC of 5 + 1 per 10 feet of falling to stabilize himself and allowing him to glide on the air (though not truly fly), negating any damage from the fall and allowing him to travel horizontally up to four times the vertical distance descended. The Kavu may choose to gain momentum before the glide by running, and for every 10 feet the Kavu runs before gliding the DC is
reduced by 1 and the gliding distance is extended by 5 feet.
Aerial ascendancy: the Kavu You gain a fly speed (with average maneuverability)
equal to one-half its base land speed (round down to the nearest 5-foot increment). A Kavu can use its flight for a number of consecutive rounds equal to 1 + its Constitution modifier (minimum 1 round); between these uses you cannot fly for 1 round. Kavu gains resistance to cold 5, becomes immune to altitude fatigue and altitude sickness. Gain air subtype, Must have taken Membrane Wings adaptation.
Obesity: The Kavu is unnaturally obese no matter how little he eats, gaining +1 Con at the cost of reducing land movement speed by 10 ft. Gains energy resistance cold equal to 3 plus its kavu hit dice. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Gaunt.
Advanced Obesity: : A kavu gains a +2 adaptation bonus to Constitution and a –2 adaptation penalty to Dexterity. Furthermore, the kavu gains a +2 circumstance bonus on Intimidate
checks and saving throws against poison. Note must have taken Obesity adaptation.
Rough Skin: The Kavu has a rough skin, being either scaly or leather-like, gaining +1 natural armor class. Note: this mutation cannot stack with Fur or Shedding.
Headfrill: The Kavu has thick bony plate protecting its neck like a shield and provides resistance from effects that could normally behead it, such as a vorpal weapon. When a Kavu would otherwise lose its head, it instead makes a Fortitude saving throw (DC 10 + ½ HD of attacker + attacker’s Str modifier). On a failed save, the Kavu's head leaves its shoulders normally, but on a successful save, the Kavu is unaffected by the attempt.
Skulk: The Kavu's body is naturally fitted for hiding and sneaking around, gaining +4 to Hide and Move Silently checks. He is often either small for its type or has a limited camouflage quality. However, the creature has a weak personality and is often ignored by others, gaining -1 Cha. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Giant or Obesity.
Shifty: the Kavu acts skittish, light on its feet. Gains sneak attack 1d6 on every natural attack made at highest BAB, -2 to Fort. Note: this adaption requires Skulk Adaptation.
Jumpy: the Kavu is hopping mad, can attack with all his kavu natural weapons during a charge. Penalty of -2 to reflex saves and -1 to charisma. Note require reckless and Skulk Adaptations, can not take shifty, obesity, wurm, or gaunt Adaptations.
Lithe: the Kavu is streamline predator, gains skirmish 1d6 and 1 ac after moving 10ft. Note: requires gaunt Adaptation.
Slimy: The Kavu's skin is coated in a thin layer of mucous secreted from his pores. He receives a +2 to escape artist checks and a +2 to rolls made to break out of a grapple, but gets a -2 penalty to maintain a grapple. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Fur, Touch of Unease
Giant: the Kavu has the adaptation powerful build, counts as one size larger for sake of bullrush, grappling, carry capacity, being swallowed, wielding larger weapons, having larger natural weapons does not not grant penalty to hide, to attack, or AC: as well as not granting reach. 10ft penalty to land speed
Longer Limbs: having longer limbs increases your land speed by 10ft, your reach with your claws 5 ft and a +2 to climbing. You gain a -1 penalty to attack and to AC.
Tail: The Kavu has a tail dangling from behind him, granting him +2 to Balance checks. If large +3 to balance and can attack with it at 5' reach doing 1d8 +str mod. If huge, +4 to balance, +2 to swim, gain attack with 10' reach doing 2d6 +Str mod.
Touch of Unease: The Kavu's skin is pulsing with power from beneath, which can make lesser men faint. Anyone who touches the Kavu's bare skin with his own bare skin takes +HD point of subdual damage per round of contact, with no save. Outsiders and Fey are immune to this damage, as well as Magical beasts. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Slimy.
Twisted Organs: The Kavu's innards are all twisted around and located in an unusual alignment (his heart might be down in his gut while his intestines weave around throughout his chest wrapping around the other organs etc.). This makes the Kavu weaker and more susceptible to poison and disease (-1 con) but makes his vital organs harder to find. Any roll to confirm a threat made against the Kavu is at –1+hd and anyone attempting to Sneak Attack him must make a DC 10+hd Spot check to find his vulnerable spots once per turn and successfully deliver a Sneak Attack (this Spot check is a free action). Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Gaunt.
Desert Ascendancy: is hot to the touch, dealing 1d4 fire damage for every 4 HD, penalty is that once the sun goes down you must sleep till sun rise or be exhausted, you gain fire subtype and all that penalties and benefits of. Note, requires Advanced Guant adaptations.
Worm: only avaible to Kavu with Wurm body trait- limbs are just nubs, when not burrowing land speed is 10ft less. Gain +4 on grapple check. Successfully grappling an opponent you can constrict them automatically for 2d6 + Str mod. If your opponent is a size category smaller than you can be swallowed whole instead of being pinned, every round your opponent is swallowed they take damage as of constricted and HD of acid damage. Gains Tremorsense 30ft and earth subtype(all the advantages and penalties that implies).
Unstoppable: this Kavu can trample it's foes, as a full round action-going twice its land speed and passing through an enemies square equal to its size or smaller. This deals 4d4 +4times Str modifier. Half if they make reflex save dc(10+hd+str(mod) vrs reflex). Penalty takes -2 to reflex. Note, requires giant, quadrupled or obesity adaptation
Horns/tusks: The Kavu has a pair of bestial horns jutting from his head, like those of a ram, a deer or even a demon./or tusks of a boar- He gains a single gore attack which deals 1d4 points of damage and 2d4 points of damage when charging. This is considered a natural attack.
Face of Nightmare: The Kavu's face is extremely hideous (either withered, mismatched or truly monstrous), gaining +2 to Intimidate checks but -2 to Diplomacy checks.
Large Ears: The Kavu has large, pointed ears. He gains a +2 bonus to Listen checks, but suffers an extra point of damage from Sonic attacks.
Backwards Feet: The Kavu's feet go backwards, and his tracks are altered proportionally. Those attempting to Track him gain a -4 penalty to Wilderness Lore checks unless they are aware of the mutation. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Quadruped.
Frogs Legs: The Kavu has misshapen legs like those of a frog. He gains a +4 to Jump checks but his movement is reduced by 10 ft. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Hooves or Quadruped.
Hooves: The Kavu's legs are hoofed like those of a demon or satyr, granting him +10 speed on land. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with either Frogs Legs or Webbed Limbs.
Quadruped: The Kavu is accustomed to using four of his limbs for walking in the manner of a beast. He gains +20 ft to land speed when running on 4 legs but his unease when walking on two penalizes his land speed by -10 ft. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Backwards Feet or Frogs Legs. Must have taken extra arms adaptation.
Webbed Limbs: The Kavu has large webs of skin between his fingers and toes, allowing him to swim at his base land speed Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Hooves.
Marine Ascendancy: a Kavu gains a Swim speed equal to its land speed. This also grants it a +8 racial bonus on Swim checks, the ability to take 10 on any Swim check, and the ability to use the run action while swimming. You gain resistance to cold 5. You can breathe air and water with equal ease. Gain water subtype, Note: must have gills and webbed limbs adaptaions.
Forked Tongue: The Kavu has a forked tongue like that of a snake, granting him a +4 bonus to Knowledge (Nature) checks used to identify poison through taste and a +1 Fortitude save vs. poison. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Frog Tongue.
Frog Tongue: The Kavu has a 5 ft long tongue like that of a frog. He gains a single tongue attack, which doesn't deal any damage but can be used freely for Grappling at a +2 bonus. Note: this adaptation cannot stack with Forked Tongue.
Projectile Vomit: The stomach of this Kavu is deformed to the point that it can not eat solid food and must vomit up a selection of stomach acid to pre-dissolve his food. A number of times per day equal to his Con modifier the Kavu may vomit a globe of acid for 2d6 points of damage (addition 1d6 damage every 3 HD after 3HD) at a single enemy within 20 ft. DC is 10+HD+con modifier (a Reflex save halves the damage).
Titan: a Kavu grows 1 size larger, penalties per increase in size as normal and also no longer benefits from preresquite adaptations of giant, longer limbs, Obesity and Advanced Obesity. Note: must take the adaptations Obesity, Advanced Obesity, Longer Limbs, and Giant.
Unusual Appetite: The Kavu has an unusual appetite, and may feast on rotting meat, bugs, blood and other disgusting foods without suffering any ill effects, and gains +1 to Fortitude saves against poison and disease. However, the Kavu constantly reeks of his disgusting foods and gains a -2 penalty to Diplomacy and Bluff checks unless the smell is extremely well hidden.
Charred Palate: The stomach of this Kavu is deformed to the point that it can not eat unburnt food and must spew fire to cook its food. A number of times per day equal to his Con modifier the Kavu may shoot a orb of fire for 2d6 points of damage (addition 1d6 damage every 3 HD after 3HD) at a single enemy within 20 ft. DC is 10+HD+con modifier (a Reflex save halves the damage).
Opposable Thumbs: front limbs become hands gaining proficiency with simple weapons. Gaining +2 to climb.
at level 5 a Kavu increases in size, also increasing natural weapon dice accordingly.
A Kavu gains a +HD racial bonus on Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Survival checks when using these skills against a Construct/Undead, this stacks with any favored enemy bonus.
any successful attack against construct/undead has a +HD bonus to damage, this stacks with any favored enemy bonus. Also a Kavu may also eat any construct/undead without risking it's health.
A Kavu can now ignore a Construct/Undead immunity to critical hits/damage and poisons/energy types. Also Kavu now have dmg reduction and a bonus on saves vrs damage and abilities from Constructs/Undeads equal to the 1/2 the Kavu's HD.
